Hey Scott, thanks so much for your video. Saved me $$$$. Before the technician came the unit was only running for about 60 seconds and then tripping the safety switch so made it very difficult to troubleshoot. I’d already tried what I knew (clear out the drain pump, make sure nothing jamming the impeller etc), but no joy, and my best guess was that water was going somewhere it shouldn’t which will instantly trip the safety. The dishwasher had not been used for a couple of days when he came and when he powered it up (to my surprise) it didn’t trip the safety. When he turned it on, the machine was running for around a minute, then stopping and starting again. The tech confirmed the heating element was ok and there was no obvious water leaks that could cause the safety switch to trip. He was convinced it was the circulation pump which they quoted to replace - over $900 (parts and labour)!! His diagnosis interested me because when the pump was working, it sounded fine. There was no smell to indicate it might have burnt out etc and we'd confirmed everything was dry inside. To me it was something else. At $33 every 10 minutes he was with me, I didn’t want to debate with this with him. In any case, if it was the pump this unit was going to the tip. Total cost for his visit - $154. When I googled the symptoms, I found your video. Got the appropriate pressure switch online and thanks to your video, all fixed and running for just over $100.

Hey Scott. Nice to see you do a video related to the heater pressure switch. My Miele machine did same start stop sequence and then displayed the F8 error code. Your suggestion to me to replace this switch is what helped to solve my problem. My 18 yr old machine now runs like the day it was new. I was close to replacing it, I’m glad I didn’t. Now I am just concerned my machine will age out for parts availability. Replacing my heater pressure switch (note - listed in my parts listing as a level switch) cost me about $70 Canadian. Super easy to install. Hopefully this video will help others that have been searching for a fix to the F8 error code. Take care.

Hey Scott, how do I force open my Asko dishwasher? Door is stuck, I think the latch is broken maybe. But I won't know before I get it open. Any ideas? Thank man!!!
