At the beginning, I contacted MIELE technical support in Germany. Symptoms: Drum does not rotate, "Rinse" LED flashes constantly. Assumption: Motor brushes worn out, also due to age. They told me there was a problem with the engine. I replaced the spare parts, the problem was not fixed. I saw your video on KZbin. I checked the list, and the video fits my model W863. I bought the two spare parts and the shock absorbers. I replaced them. the problem was fixed. Now, the washing machine works great. Thank you very much. You are amazing. you helped me a lot. Excellent tutorial video Scrubbleworks. Well done. I sourced the exact same components and followed your instructions and it fixed the problem of the flashing Rinses light. Now the machine quite rapidly fills ok, I can see the water rising in the tub, at about 22 seconds the water is almost at the level of the door seal, but about half way through fulling (at 16 seconds) the Check Inlet red light flashes. When filled, the machine switches off the water, the Check Inlet is still flashing and the machine it will not start to wash. By switching the power off, rotating the knob to spin and switching on it will do a drain and spin. Likewise it will do just a pump out if I first switch the power off and move knob to drain and switch on again. It then does the usual anti-crease intermittent drum rotation for several minutes. The Check Inlet light does not flash during these operations. It only flashes when it is about half way through filling on a wash cycle and it will not commence to wash. The inlet filters are clear, the hoses are straight. The inlet water flows in rapidly as usual. Any ideas please?

Hi Anthony, I only had the rinses light flashing issue with mine, I don't know how you would fix the issue you described. I would just Google the issues you are having with your model number & see what comes up. Good luck 👍

@@scrubbleworks2207 Hi again ScrubbleWorks, thanks for your reply. I just found the cause of the issue. My fault, I forgot to reconnect the pressure sensing hose to the back of the control panel. Grhhhh... Sorry to waste your time. It took me hours of fiddling around until I noticed the hose dangling unattached. Thanks again, your video is excellent.

Brilliant thank you, machine now works better than ever, for cost of NZ$90, $40 of which was freight ex UK and $10 because I had to buy 10 fuses instead of 1. Miele (to their credit) would have been able to repair it, for $1,225. $701 was for a new PCB (vs $8 parts) and $303 for new dampers vs $58 parts & freight ex UK.

Very good tutorial ! thank you for it. It worked to solve the error message, the motor is ok, vidange ok, belt ok 🙂 But I have an other issue : the drum is now stuck. I can't move it even with my hands. Have you experienced this ? Is there a kind of security block on the drum ? 😞

I'm not sure why the drum is stuck but it would explain the blown fuse that you fixed, I would Google how to fix this if the motor is moving freely 👍

Hi there l have a w830 with blinking rinse and drain LEDs coming on. However the circuit board is different to the one you repaired. My machine has a pcb part # 120195 / EDPW 120 which is a smaller pcb and different layout to the one you show in your vid. The references of various models includes the W830. Can you please tell me a solution for these errors. I am in Australia so that may be the reason for a different pcb.

I would look at internet forums for your specific model if you haven't already fixed it, I did see that the repair I did was applicable to the fuse & relay so they might be the same parts just on a different board but you would have to do a bit of research. Good luck 👍

Hi replaced fuse and relay for second time in 4 years after I saw your video before I think. But this time the drum will move but only about half an inch. It will try once more then the light flashes. I’m replacing brushes next

@@scrubbleworks2207 board returned and refitted, all good. Seems too much heat during my armature soldering affected a leg on the relay. New relay and tested good. Runs good. New shocks too. So it won’t rattle the relay and send it into reverse or whatever on 1400 rpm spin.

I am also having this issue. But I am having a hard time finding a place where I can buy the fuse. Do you know more about this failure, such as how likely do you think it might be that both need to be replaced? Is there maybe a way to measure if the fuse might still be ok? Edit: I took the EL200 PCB out and measured open circuit across the fuse. So that one indeed definitely needs replacing.

kijk ook meteen of je borstels niet op zijn (en als je een MRT37 hebt, of je collector niet naar de klote is), die zekering springt niet voor niets. Wbt die zekering: dat is een Littelfuse 6.3A 250V printzekering, Farnell nummer 37016300430. Ook meteen relais 6k1 vervangen want dat is een bekend kwaaltje bij deze serie machines.

@@Wasmachineman In redelijk wat webwinkels was de relais niet op voorraad. Ik heb uiteindelijk redelijk overbetaald voor de relais en zekering. Ook niet de exacte zelfde zekering in die webshop gevonden, maar ging er vanuit dat dat hopelijk niet super nauw komt zo lang het een TR5 trage 6,3A 250V zekering is (deze om precies te zijn: Eska 054401R-1 trage TR5 zekering - 6,3A-t-TR5 zekering traag roh). Na het swappen van de relais, zekering en dempers is de error code in ieder geval weg. Nog niet aan toe gekomen om daadwerkelijk een was te draaien. Maar ik zal eerst ook nog de borstels checken en of ik een MRT37 heb. Merkte wel een redelijk groot verschil in de beweging van de trommel na het wisselen van de dempers. Hoewel, de laatste was waarbij deze error code voor het eerst opdook was een redelijk kleine lading, dus het kapot gaan van de relais en zekering was misschien niet veroorzaakt door een overbelaste motor door een te grote onbalans van de trommel.

@@Wasmachineman Mijn wasmachine heeft een MRT36 motor en na wat gepuzzel geverifieerd dat de koolborstels nog ruim OK zijn. Waarschijnlijk was het dus alleen de dempers die op waren (de originele waren ook 115N in plaats van 120N). Hierdoor was de relais het langzaam aan heeft begeven (deze had ook wat zwarte/brand plekken) en daarbij ook de zekering mee nam.

What is that circle thing you replaced in the PCB? My Miele WT945S don't power its prewash and main wash inlet valve. I can hear thr switches clicking on the program but no power is being delivered to water valves.

That is a radial fuse, I needed to replace this with the relay for the fault on mine 👍

How did you find out that the relay is faulty? Did it stop clicking? My Miele's Washing LED light keeps on blinking and no water coming into the washer even if the inlet valves are okay.

The circle thing is a Fuse 250v UL TR5 6.3A. What happens is the relay wears out and blows the fuse so you have to replace both.

My miele seems to be not completely emptying of water each time going from wash to rinses...its obviously pumping to a certain extent as you can see it emptying does anybody know if its likely to be the pump itself or some pipes inside. Any can the pump and pipes be accesed from the front?

After giving up trying to find a board for mine at a reasonable price as it had different components and board to the video and I could not see a fix for it, I bought a Samsung 'Smart' WiFi Eco bubble machine. This self destructed in 4 months and blew mains fuses. As it was in warranty I arranged Samsung support through the App. After 3 engineer visits they said they would write it off as unrepairable. I was trying to get a replacement and GroupFX, Samsung's official repairers sent a report saying they had fixed it when they hadn't. Two months of hassle later I have finally got a refund on the way, during which time I had repaired my Miele which turned out to be one of the brushes worn to almost nothing. The fault was the drum moved slightly then the error light came on. My Miele is now working and maybe it needs new dampers but I am not going to hurry buying a new washing machine for a while. Well not until my refund is back in the bank. We must have had it well over 10 years. I will keep an eye out for a new Miele on a deal. I paid Argos with Paypal and it could take 30 days after they have said I am getting a refund. Why? So Paypal can get interest on it and everyone in a situation like me I suppose.

They didn't with this but I have had the red blinking light, sometimes it clears itself if you open the door (make sure it's not full of water) and reset the program otherwise you may need to clean the filter. Good luck 😊
