@@washersdryersradios Got in no problem, replaced the two absorbers and am doing a test washing now, but it looks perfect, watertight, still and silent. It was the spring around the rubber I couldn't find before, and that revealed the main screw which, once removed, changed everything. Thanks again!

Thanks for making this video it’s saved me a £130 call charge from Miele. A comment for other viewers if you are needing to replace the door seal (big grey rubber thing) the inside of the seal is also held in place by a cable (same as outside one on video) this time though it’s held in place with a long screw on the left hand side that you need to unscrew completely. You can then remove the band. There is then just the rubber pipe from the soap dispenser draw to detach. This removes from the door seal side (not the dispenser). To avoid tearing the rubber pipe heat with a hairdryer until hot to the touch.

I’ll be doing this today on the same exact machine as soon as it drains it floods everywhere the lights flash and then it tripped everything lol. Got it for my sister as they said only a leak! Not a leak the whole contents of the drum empties inside the machine all over the bottom. And leaks all out… weirdly only does it on drain not before.

How do you get the control panel off.
@washersdryersradios7 ай бұрын
On this type of machine pull the knob off then insert a thin bladed item in the joint between the white plastic frame of the printed perspex control panel and the perspex panel AT THE TOP EDGE ONLY gently press the panel down and lever it out simultaneously working your way along the top edge. Once this printed perspex panel if off you can remove the screws holding the control PCB to the frame.

Really useful video as it encouraged me to try and replace the heater element by myself. Trouble is, all the KZbin videos show a centre bolt holding the element in place; Miele WDA101 doesn't have this. Any advice on how to extract the element greatly appreciated....
@washersdryersradios3 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike the elements are a bit of a £@#£@+) to get out there is no central bolt on a Miele you need to grasp the two metal parts with connectors on pull the element towards you about three inches the gently get a screwdriver under the lip of the black rubber it sits in and work the lip on it out of the hole in the drum refitting is the same but backwards

@@italia01139 by the sound of it you require new motor carbon brushes these are accessed by removing the front as shown in this video you will see the rear of the motor under the drum there are two T20 screws securing the plastic cover remove that then pull out the wiring plugs . There will be four T20 screws securing the part that the wiring went in to this is the brush housing remove the screws and pull the whole plastic assembly towards you carefully. Once it is out you will see the brushes these are easy to change and available on eBay for £10 ish. Replace those and do everything you've done backwards being careful to make sure the four pins sticking out of the brush assembly go back on to the receivers on the motor.

@@washersdryersradios thank you for replying, but according to Miele usa this model does not have carbon brushes, but an induction motor, there for they suggested to replace the mother board. My issues is, I'd have to order from Italia, and have it ship here. How could I confirm, that the motor is brush and not induction
