HAHAHA!!Too true. Had the pleasure to fly in a Bell Helicopter, sky4buy.com/1960-Bell-47G2113492306205/015802 from a Mt Peak, a drop of over 4000 ft. The pilot didn't do horizontal drop, but tipped the nose 45+ degrees and drove down the side of the mountain, me staring down through the clear dome. He was ex Luftwaffe, the old bastard :D We laughed on the ground later. I had met too many veterans by then, early 70's at age 28, to not understand.

At Oshkosh back in '90 there was a Chinese Mig-21 flying every day and the best part was the take-off when he hit the afterburner. It is a single stage and lights with quite a BOOOMMM!! It was so concussive that it knocked down small children and when I mentioned that to the pilot later he started watching the crowd along the runway when he lit it up. Had a good laugh about it.

This looks like it's pretty close to 1000km/h which the 21 is definitely capable of, not sure why people in the comments doubt it. Just listen how close he is to Mach 1, you can't hear the aircraft until it's passing the camera.

@@heckpupper9532 we have to agree to disagree of course this old Russian sled is capable of that speed and still highly impressive but like i said in my comment the only aircraft i have seen at airshow nudging the sound barrier at sea level was a French navy F8 crusader it was torturing the air and have done a sonic boom a split second later but the pilot eased it back it was a lot faster than this like i say this is still highly impressive doing about 5 to 6 hundred miles an hour i saw 2 Romanian mig 21.s in England last year in England definitely the stars of the show and that includes all the modern stuff like the F 35 and F 22 F 18 etc

@@AbhishekVerma-vp1qm there are many variables to be taken into account. If a trainee pilot is flying a F22 without any weapons then even a WWII vintage Spitfire propeller fighter jet with its canon can bring the F22 down. MiG 21 Bison even with all its upgrades in not equal to a F16.

Nah, 1000kph is approximately 620mph or 540knots at sea level. Speed of sound approximately 660 Knots at sea level. An easy 1000kph for that jet any day.

Air Destroyer. Indonesia had had many in the past. A short true story. 4 Malaysian fighter jets guided and ordered 1 Indonesian Mig 21 piloted by Air Force Lt. Siahaan.
