R77 is not really BVR, it is best for like 10km and less and has issues keeping track of its targets if not using tws/keeping lock till last second

So ive come to find out the R77 is not a BVR missile in warthunder, you want to shoot it no more than 20km where the aim120 wants to be shot about 30km. Within 20km the R77 pulls better and more reliably tracks but beyond that it loses too much speed due to the high speed oscillation bug to reliably hit anything. Results change depending on if you are shooting up or down at someone but in when at the same level these are the numbers ive come up with.

Yeah I ended up going with 2 ERs and 4 77s so I can use ERs for BVR and 77s at closer range and it has boosted top tier experiance
