Golden Sun: Dark Dawn - Ogre Titans

Optional Boss #3: Ogre Titans
You'll face five Ogre Titans, one after another. The first one is really easy and has average HP, while the last one will take a while to defeat. He attacks twice per turn and mostly uses Massive Swing to hit all you party members.
The Fifth Titan recovers 250 HP per turn so try to deal as much damage as you can in one turn to ensure that he doesn't recover too much HP over time. Other than that, it's a pretty easy battle.

More like we need a reboot, the story for this one was atrocious. The whole heroes kids taking the torch is so stupid... they even made them look literally like the characters we remembered, why not just keep the original team? Just because they are older doesnt mean they arent cool or useful, kids dont need to see kid heroes anywayi and most of the fans of this series are adults now.

Honestly, I think this is the easiest Optional Boss ever, in my game, no one died and everyone still had a decent amount of health left, Just Spam Sveta's Pack Defense combined with any Djinn that can take away a lot of damage

+RiownerTias Dullahan is Earth, not Shadow. That's why he can summon Charon on demand (requires 8 Earth Djinn for adepts).

what level and what classes are you? you took these guys down fast. i'm level 42 with regular classes. took me one attempt, but that was about a half hour battle

@00Cyriac00 Its behind Dullahun called Iris. Shoot, that I've slightly missed out there o.o;; Yeah, Dullahun is the Shadow that guards the Light. Do you think maybe a Light being will be guarding the Shadow / Umbra power if there was to be a another GS :D I'll love to see that

Thanks for the hint but I don´t think there´s a lot to get from class changes - nevertheless I made the battle a few levels later (so chars around 46-49) with a cheap trick that especially works in this fight as the only damage you get is from melee attacks. I used the beast lady, a healer and 2 more chars to keep a djinn shield up. There´s at least 2 djinn that can summon a shield that soaks 90% damage ->2 chars alternating the shield, the buffed beast lady for a nice attack & a healer made it

@Thancruz for the record, the first golden sun was quite easy too. they draw a lot of parralels from the first game of the series in this game, so easyness is expected, but the ultimate bonus boss in this game is one of the hardest in rpg history, if you dont know what to do. even if you know what to do, he is still hard.

@jream42 this boss is still hard even after being able to beat the game, so its safe to assume their levels are QUITE high. I'm not nearly as high leveled as her, yet I still have her healing wave powers... I dont mix Djinn, so it should just be normal

true, but sol blade is automatic 3x damage when it unleashed and it has a 35% unleash rate. this is why sol blade is the best long sword.

I had trouble and i was at level 86,turns out the Tua warriors at Apollo Sanctum really make it easier to raise the team.

Justin McNally No you can do the Optional bosses in any order. Crossbone Island opens after you beat the the story.

Strategies? I just Summon Rushed most things. :3 Kidding. DD is easier... but it was still a fun game. :) Though I cannot shake the feeling that they've tried to incorporate too many things in one single game. It seemed a bit... convoluted. :)

Lvl 60?? No wonder I´m struggling at this battle and the final boss - all my chars are around lvl 45 but I´m already through the game story wise... no idea if I can make it some chars have only around 450hp or if I have to farm xp now til I get a bit higher :o(

i just barely defeated it at lv 50 with all djinn on standby and summoning like crazy and raising defense. i defeated ancient devil and the ogre titans but i cant seem to defeat the final boss :(

+The Deadly Duo, actually, you get the Sol Blade at Apollo Sanctum shortly BEFORE fighting the final boss. It's inside a pedestal and Matthew draws it out, then you can leave the Sanctum before triggering the final cutscene and boss fight. Also, I know the Golden Sun remix that your username refers to :) . Top remix. I downloaded it.

Laaate, but reviewers don't know what their talking about. OG Golden Sun is easy as piss too, and I'd argue GS: DD is harder because there are certain bosses that make life miserable (quit throwing PsyGrenades)
