Rolling a 1 on Snake Eyes is better than not pushing it IF you didn't want to push the button so you could save it for a pop off next turn BUT you had a Tethys on the board with 2 gold left, you only had 1 gold left to spend, and you wanted to buy a 1-gold spell with your last gold, but you also wanted to spend that one extra gold to generate a pirate and fill out your board. Simple as.

Hey @bofur, I have a question. I’m trying to improve at 8k rating and at 8:18, why you didn’t freeze for battlecry trigger spelcraft minion, when you have a battlecry for blood gems? I think, its better that Chargla for example. Or not? Can you tell me your opinion?

I got a Golden Pokey free win last week. Triples into triples. Pokey, Charlie, Goog, Bopper, Mangled Bandit, Snarling Conductor, all golden. It feels so cheap but it also feels so fun. XD

'It's exponential growth" nah, it's log growth, each turn with pokey becomes proportionnally less than the previous one Al;so survivor bias for "you see it was pokey"

It's quadratic growth. Since you add gems, and gems grow, the rate of change increases. Logarithmic growth would mean something where the step would decrease over time, at 1/x×ln(a) where a is the base of the logarithm. Things that get multiplied over time, ie. the infinite stat builds were truly exponential Mech and quills are quadratic, since the rate of growth increases in a linear fashion. Most other builds scale linearly

@@britbillly Ah gotcha. It's a bit confusing since Bofur and the original person was talking about pokey scaling being exponential. Unit scaling would be quadratic, if for example there is pokey and somehow a linear increase in the number of gems applied, which is hard to imagine such a board.. In fact, bofur's board did not have an increase in the number of gems applied. Charlie applies a constant number of gems each turn. So overall, his board scaling is still linear.
