Yesssss Ty Ty😂 Amber and Granger consider a motion detector that way you know if he's moving in the house and it would wake you up😊 and you can put those really loud alarms on your door in case it got opened.....

Granger, I'm a 60yo man that has a 48yo s.o. Her two (adult) children are Intellectualy developementally disabled (MRDD) and will always have to live with us. They are 29 and 28 years old. CPS has told us ON THE RECORD that if it's a safety issue.......it's ok to lock them in their rooms at night. We have fought with ourselves and our Faith about this for many years but have finally come to the conclusion(after many nightly events) that it is the safest and most humane thing that we can do for them to keep our sanity and keep them safe. Do not worry about what others think as they don't deal with the same reality as some of us! God Kepp and Bless y'all ALWAYS! 🙏

My suggestion…put him in his car seat and buckle it, instead of him. Let him be mad, so he learns he’s not the boss. He can be in danger in a hot car, because he could get in and lay down for a nap, and get too hot to think straight. Park cars in a garage he can’t access OR bring on STRONG discipline til he understands danger and boundaries . I’m not judging . My now 40 yo was a climber. The now 32 yo started to be a climber til a dresser fell on him. Luckily only minor scrapes. Let Maverick see your fear at the danger he causes. Even add a little to the fear….if he needs to see it.

I knew of a 3 yr old who got out of his car seat and when the driver thought it was safe to go back in the house for a quick minute, that kid got out of his car seat and backed the family’s minivan into the pond near the driveway. It was a nightmare for the family and the other kids inside the van! Everyone got out just in time. Don’t ever assume your running vehicle is safe whether it’s running or not, when there are kids about, either your own or if neighboring kids live close enough.

This is just what I needed since spending a week in the hospital. I had a lung biopsy and unfortunately it deflated so had to stay to get it inflated. Oh yes I'm sure TyTy has lots of surprise things and interest to tell. I love watching clean entertainment and things that are fun as well. I'm sure there are a lot of interesting places up around there to show as well. DeJay has this little cow (Maggie) that I think Maverick might take a liking to. Make a good friend for the goats. Great idea to lock up the vehicles. Your parents did a wonderful job at raising you three boys. Hi! Mom if your watching. Much Love to all the Smith's.

🇦🇺Make Maverick an obstacle course, balancing beams, rope ladders, monkey bars or anything to challenge him. My son at 6 1/2 months climbed a chain mesh fence and got onto a road at 13 months he open the front door and unlatch the security door in the middle of the night. Our dog alerted us something was wrong. We had to put a bolt much higher on the front door to keep him in. For his first birthday we bought 5 swing sets all different (from the dump shop, a little welding and paint, they were as good as new), monkey bars and a slippery slide. Benjamin crawled at 3 months, walked around furniture at 5 months and ran never walked at 9 months. He always kept us on our toes.

Talking about Mav getting in your cars, I was told a story about myself...I was too young and it's been too long for me to remember...that when I was a kid, I got into a truck in our yard and knocked it out of gear. It rolled and hit the trailer home we lived in and knocked it completely off it's blocks...it was a small one in the late 60s so probably like a 12x44 or something like that. I was around 4 years old when I did this. So, yeah, it can be dangerous, even without keys, even without being able to pull it out of gear if he gets in and somehow find and gets his hands on the keys. Luckily as you said today's vehicles have push to start, but my 2005 Chevy doesn't and is old school like your diesel, and sometimes those columns don't quite lock or get worn and won't lock when the keys are turned off. Mine doesn't lock at all, and if a kid got into mine and pulled down on the shifter it could and would roll. Since we have no kids or grandkids or kids come here at all I don't worry about mine, and if I need, I set the parking brake...maybe an idea there for you guys is always set the parking brake. But, as a kid they said I was smart enough to figure things out, also, to the point of getting hold of a drill and actually plugging it up, and drilled a hole in everything I could find..lol. So, be careful as smart boys usually find a way to do what they want to do, no matter what you try to do to keep them from it. Especially country boys lol. Take care all and Happy New Year to EVERYONE.

No I havent but Im not surprise from Mavy doing so he is a smart 3 year old. I sit in my chair and look at the small reel and laugh myself crazy and he is so funny he has a answer for everything, but if you say something to him he is truthfull and does not hide from what he does, he sees something and he catches on very fast, I really think Mavy is a very special child with he does and so naturely here is a 80year old gramma, my son who is 50 now was mischievious then we didnt have all what is available today. He is growing up with adults and he listen, you have to be careful of what you say when he is around smart little guy...But love him so much, he makes my day so joyfull . I still dont understand how he can walk barefeet like he does..Huggss Mavy. Excuse grammar from a french canadian.

I would love for Tyler to do his own thing. I know I enjoy him when he is on Chad's "Take and Read" podcast. He is very down to earth and I love how he interacts with the kids. Maybe instead of locking Mavvy in his room you could add an upper lock to the doors to get outside. Though I do like the idea of motion detectors as well. Toddlers are at a dangerous age because they want to do for themselves but don't understand the consequences. Had a friend whose 3yo would turn on the gas stove, she eventually after a few times caught on and took the knobs off and locked them away so he couldn't get them. He would also sneak out of the house and walk down to the park. Love the day to day in the life of content.

So glad your doing more frequent videos! Pleasure to see how you're growing and maturing in you Christian walks. On a side note - check information for when Herrod issues the decree to kill the babies 2 years of age and younger. Jesus was only in a manger for a very short time and not while Herrod was looking for Him. However, alternatives to “Elf on the Shelf” are always worth checking out and can be excellent learning tools. Happy New Year from the Cronks in Palestine (TX)

50+years ago a 3 yr old boy who lived down the street took his grandpa’s Cadillac for a Wild 1/2 mile ride! His grandpa lived on a hill and this little boy managed to “drive” that Caddy down the long driveway, crossed the road, and continued down the field heading towards the creek. His angel finally caught up 😉 and stopped the car at the ledge where the next stop would have been headlong into the creek. Thankfully the little boy was unhurt. I know of a few other stories of 3 year old drivers in more recent years, and thankfully no one was hurt. At least by locking the doors, I assume the truck alarm will go off with his clandestine attempts, which may deter little clever Mav! ❤ Be sure to hide the key fob!! Based on the other videos, it cannot even be in the refrigerator! lol
