Mighty Gavel - Buffed or Nerfed? New World MMO PVP War Hammer

Hey everybody! haven’t messed with gavel since the filming of this video (I was pissed 😂) and I’m pretty sure this isn’t even how it works on live right now! But with the new Hammer artifact, mighty gavel may finally have some use in the game! Looking forward to testing!

I think they wanted to make it more viable in PVP because you couldn't hit twice the same target. It was very easy to dodge the 2nd attack. But for PVE is definitely a nerf

I'm a return player and found myself spaming clicks after the 1st Mighty Gavel... :( too bad for PVE

I have been using it for pvp today because they gave it grit!

In the patch notes they said they increased the aoe size of mighty gavel. Maybe thats why they decreased the damage? But I haven’t tested it so I don’t know how big an impact the aoe size is.

Yeah I noticed it says slightly increased size it might be hard to test that on video tho

against pve is incredibly strong, but people really dont know about the fact that its an AOE. with 200str i was doing 15k-18k damage in 2 seconds with it!

I was sure it was gonna be a faster hit/ get grit or at least do insane double the dmg on one hit. Need to report this so they change the skill. Hammer need 1 good dmg abiliy

It used to be pretty bursty before they decided to nerf damage on all the cc abilities lol

i just decided to use it again after a long time. I knew there was a second attack on it. Thought i was going crazy. Still a shit ability lol

I think there is an argument to be made for it being more viable in a combo now than it was before but yeah still not something people are choosing by the looks of it

WAIIIIT can you USE one then use the other charge 5-7 sec later? IF YES its completly broken :D ! ( pvp wise the ability has no grit SO ITS impossible to use it for the 2nd hit anyway but if u can just do ur 170% dam in one go then bait a dodge and later on 3-4 sec later redo it for 170 % dam then i might play this ability its SO goood

@@DerrekU2ber so is it like 2 charge of the spell usable for separate usage or do u still have to use them both in a short amount of time ?

@@pascaldota it seems like you can hold the second one even through a weapon swap. I kept forgetting that I had already used one and getting surprised by the cooldown lol.
