Very impressive. Pretty tough to get guards on a blade that does all that maneuvering, so everybody stay back!

That is a homesteader's dream. It can slab and it can mill any size of lumber. You can practically use the mill and build your timber house in the homestead simultaneously. Homesteaders can form a loose cooperative and jointly buy a sawmill like that. They can build their homes and have a lumber company at the same time while providing employment or extra income from lumber milling.

Well that's no fun... you don't have to walk back and forth, back and forth with the saws carriage. Lol!

The machine is set to metric. Is it now manufactured with U.S system of measurements? Crazy expensive! But definitely a savings in the saw blade vs the band saw blades. Way easier sharpening 5 teeth.

Are they cutting boarn by board for the demo? Are they able to make 5 slices on top then 1 across the side??

Boards are a little lighter to handle this way. Consider the weight of one of those 12" oak boards.

What holds the log in place at the bottom? Or is it just sitting there?

in a demo like that should have some one make a fence with the wood as it's been cut

The M12HD can go as long as you want.

If you're making 1x12" boards why not move the blade over to the right to make one cut horizontally and then just keep the blade vertical and cut down and back

Could do but the forward cut tends to be a little slower and removing a bunch of 12" boards at the same time will take some lifting, especially oak.

TURBOSAWMILL I was meaning that if you did one horizontal cut at 12" depth and then every time the mill gets to either end a new board is made and removed at that time.
