Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Issue

Bit late to the party, just caught up to 118 and 119. I see Rita getting beaten up and just as thinking “Oy you really letting this happen, Zedd” and then ofc he doesn’t, because he can’t let her just die for a multitude of reasons. And honestly his whole speech and closeness with Rita later, I think this is the closest we’re gonna get to some kind of confession from him about his feelings for her. Because he actually starts with saying he DOES care for Rita but she herself never believed that and chose to believe, he didn’t care. And started the chain reaction of drama that led to the universe death. And ‘hate’ here is definitely doing the double meaning of ‘love’. As in Zedd is implying that the only reason Rita would hate him so much, is because she does love/care about him just as much to cause so much hatred when she believed he betrays her. And I think Zedd is half-mocking her, half dancing around the emotions that they both don’t want to name directly. But I read it as he is frustrated that THIS is the reason shit hit the fan.

The one thing I like about this particular issue is that Jason actually comments about bulk and skulls heroism and how these two that were once like an annoyance to the Rangers but they've evolved since then. Another take away that I can say about this is that Melissa is actually is building up something special after The Darkest Hour moment that we may get a new reboot to the Power Ranger universe and where all these characters will go afterwards.

Another banger of an issue! My biggest question right now is what the hell does Kia want to do with one of the power eggs? Also will that shrink down the barrier around earth and the moon? Zed having the Zeo crystal and Dark Specter as his enemy currently is VERY interessting. Because remember when Zed was still Zorphram he wanted to take the Zeo Crystal and bring the fight to Dark Specter because he had enough.

I think the barrier might shrink because of possible future solicitations for 119 and onward. But yeah, I do remember that with Zophram from back in Eltarian War.

This would actually be a bit awkward cuz I never actually thought that Lord Zedd would actually forgive Rita and still think about having a future with her especially when she actually tried to kill him not to mention that in the first few Comics the only thing that Lord Zedd could actually think about was having his revenge against Rita but bottom line if he forgives her and they end up marrying each other then that's not surprised to me at all. What I would actually like to know is whats going to happen to Lord Zedd's Ranger Powers will his powers last him forever Or well Lord Zedd's Morpher get destroyed I mean like if Lord Zedd's Morpher gets destroyed that's probably going to piss me off because it's going to be a such a huge waste of a good Morpher and a cool new power from Lord Zedd.

I love the Compassion and care that Bulk and Skull showed for the Rangers because during MMPR, they were complete jerks but, they've become the Rangers's closest friends. And I knew Mistress Vile would betray Dark Specter, also, Rita looks gorgeous with her hair. And damn it, Kya always has a plan on her sleeve. Something tells me she'll be the final villain of DARKEST HOUR. Other than that, Morphenomenal Issue!!!! ⚡

It looks like the direction they're taking with Billy is maybe he retires from being a ranger after all the trauma he endured. This could be great commentary on tramua and PTSD. That's something that the show or even the Sentai never tackled and it would be cool to see
