I think the clue about Billy turning heel on this was actually on the front cover itself when you look at the Blue Ranger on his knees looking at his friends but they're all in like a glass container and it's ready to break. It's kind of like the line from Marvel's Ultimate Alliance 2 where if you play as Captain America's side and you Corner Iron Man he tells you "sometimes to do the right thing you have to do the wrong thing in order to save lives." In a way it was no different than what Jason Trini and Zack had done what they were the Omega Rangers and they never told their friends that they regained their memories after the shattered grid event. By the way Ash also don't forget to that the third issue of Power Rangers versus Godzilla 2 just came out today as well.

@@Deoxy360 this one isn't a spoiler but in my opinion the third issues artwork leaves much to be desired since it kind of went the way of the anime FLCL.

I expected Billy to go Rogue and to reset the Universe, but I did not expect him to pull a Drakkon. I'm proud of Billy in more ways than one. Followed the rules of my boy Captain Cold, "Make the plan, execute the plan, expect the plan to go off the rails..... throw away the plan"

Jason said that *they* had to fix the grid after what happend and that not everything went back to the way it was. We didnt know about this right? Because I thought the Emissarys fixed the grid after Drakkon was defeated and was left behind in his poket dimension. So I guess Jason, Trini, Zack and Kiya helped them with that and thats why Kiya knew about Drakkon and what he looked like. That was always a point during her introduction that was never really explained, aside from that she was empowered and killed her entire family by accident. Billys "heel turn" was well done and I think all of us really understand why he has to try this, because there is no other way. Really excited what will happen after the eggs are shattered. It seems to suck in Billy, Trini and Kiya at the very least so it might not even be an explosion

Billy was set up by Kia who was turned\undercover agent of Dark Specter. The shield comes down and the dark forces come in spades. How they save the day in the last issue is probably sacrificing every single power source connected to the Morphing Grid to knock Dark Specter back into his home dimension like classic Power Ranger style. This stabilizes the Grid but leaves it unprotected for a while until someone comes up with a new way to reconnect to the Grid.

Billy's new shattering could result in the Comic universe being sealed seperate from the rest of the extended franchise where the series as we know it will continue as the TV show did from the beginning of Morphin' S3 once Dark Specter is defeated or possibly trapped in the newly seperate universe with no way to escape.

Really hope they don’t do a big reset once this event is over. I’m fine if they make the comics soft canon to the show but a reset would be disappointing

Well the comics are their own universe, so maybe they'll be their own seperate universe like Dino Charge or RPM?

@@Deoxy360 hopefully. I just always took the comics as “soft canon” meaning to show would affect the comics but not vice versa. But seeing how different it’s been since Matt became the Green Ranger, it’s a safe bet to place it in its own universe. Which I think is why a reset wouldn’t be a satisfactory ending, since they don’t need to go back if they’re separate from the show.
