this was shot before JDF died so we just wouldn't have heard new ADR for him. Sadly we just don't know what went down other than he likely wanted to focus on his stuff and we can't guarantee what happened with Amy Jo maybe she wanted something that they didn't feel comfortable with. Using the k words took me by surprise. About 2:17 you can see Bandora Portal, a reference to the Japanese name for Rita and the monitor shows various cities or locations since Coral Harbor is home to Grid Battleforce which was Beast Morphers, Reefside is home to Dino Thunder, Turtle Cove is home to Wild Force. I've always been partial to Galaxy, Time Force, Wild Force, Dino Thunder, Mystic Force, RPM, Beast Morphers and Dino Fury.

Jason David frank chose not to do the special and Amy Jo Johnson didn’t say no to doing the special, but she also didn’t say yes so it seems it was her choice maybe. I do think that there will be some kind of tribute at the end of it to all the actors and actresses that we have lost that have been involved with the show for all these years and I think this looks awesome and it brings back a lot of nostalgia for me as a kid, because I grew up watching Power Rangers from the original through even the more recent ones

Jason David Frank had said no to doing the special, he had retired from the Power Rangers brand, since he was still very involved in it post MMPR. Austin St. John (Jason) is dealing with legal issues from what I understand. I don’t know if Austin would’ve agreed if JDF was on board since the two didn’t get along. I forget the reason Amy didn’t come aboard.

I had no idea JDF died, and I'm a huge power rangers fan... heck I've spoken to him at cons and social media, he was always super pro-power rangers and one of the big reasons the series even kept doing so well outside the show. Pushing merch and the power rangers universe for fans... And then to die that way (I looked it up). Such a sad sad ending for someone like him who was a huge part of my childhood. Amy Jo Johnson(who was my FAV) didn't accept the pay they were offering. Austin St John can't leave the country due to legal issues. I believe Jason David Frank passed prior to this. I would've loved the OG Rangers (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers). But I'll be watching too support our Rangers who are in the film.

Robo Rita's likely captured them as they suddenly went missing during the threat (represented by the three Ranger figurines by the Time Portal) which forced Alpha to summon Rocky and Katherine. Missing rangers Austin St John - facing jail time for tax fraud. Hasn’t had a trial yet. Bad publicity for Netflix to use him right now Amy Jo Johnson said she was willing to do it, but wanted to be paid better. She gave them a counter offer and they ghosted her instead of making a new offer JDF - He had spotty relations with Power Rangers’ new owner - Hasbro. He made pitches for an adult ranger show all about Tommy. He made a movie pitch similar to the “White Dragon” film that he made. JDF claimed that he was told they could put “anyone”’in the green suit. That he was overestimating his importance. And around that time, the comics introduced a “second mmpr green ranger” who was an all new character in an upgraded version of Tommy’s suit. JDF made his own power rangers-esq movie (in theaters this fall) and committed suicide before it released.

He’s probably not going to be sentenced to anything major, like that, but his trial hasn’t happened yet and that’s bad publicity for a tv show or movie to be associated with.
