Cotton over-alls were a requirement I've had that you didn't mention. Just had a set of those blue workshop ones, they got me through. You did mention, but for your cousins over the ditch: Mounted fire extinguisher (reachable). Helmet (motorcycle). They checked boot for anything loose(can't do laps with your trolley jack). Checked battery was strapped. Checked exhaust volumes(no straight pipes, awww). Be prepared to drink atleast a full tank of gas, smoke a set of tyres, and chew half a clutch in a couple hours though, not cheap days. EDIT: Forgot they checked battery mount

As a CAMS scrutineer, We also check that the Battery Terminal is covered as well as the battery being secured and the wiring secured. The fire ext should have a metal strap around and securely mounted. It helps us massively if you get a sharpie and circle the Expiry date and put a big arrow to it as it can be hard to find. Helmet needs to be in good condition, we look in the lining as well as general condition inside and out and if the lining is falling apart and crumbling, its cactus. So keep it clean and don't leave it wet with sweat, it will kill the helmet. Some regs require Metal Valve caps with a proper seal, no glass headlights etc unless taped and nothing loose in the car including the glovebox / console - empty EVERYTHING out.

The trick is to get to the track, get chatting with a few people and you'll have track day friends before you know it! Every time I've gone, across three different tracks and with a half dozen different clubs or just an open day, I've found everyone super friendly, inclusive and fascinating. Unless it's a serious race, everyone is there to have fun, get out and drive and check out some cool cars and they're genuinely awesome people. Just get out there!

You don’t need 90% of what they have suggested. Firstly if you can’t turn a spanner it’s pointless bringing more than a very basic tool kit. You only really need a wheel brace and jack, some oil and a foot pump with tyre pressure gauge. And a cheesy helmet. That is all!

If you're going to any Motorsport Australia (CAMS) event: Fire extinguishers must be securely bolted in and within 3 years of manufacture (date stamped around base or neck). Battery must be secured down with a proper clamp and must have an insulated cover over the positive terminal. Drones are not permitted at any event unless you jump through 20 hoops in conjunction with the event organisers.

When paired with a phone most supported apps will have alarm features for if a check engine light comes up, or coolant temp runs too hot, etc. Can get them for cheap($20-30USD).
