That tensioner pulley, the thread being changed from a left to a right hand thread was a big mistake, that thing is going to undo itself now and put a nice dent or hole in the hood, or take some ones face off if they are under the hood when it lets go, it also wasn't straight, so the belt is likely going to keep coming off. Minus that, cool resto.
@bradgriffiths75076 ай бұрын
That button isn't user friendly... change it to a joystick microswitch under the accelerator (the ones used in arcades). This way it'll engage automatically when someone wants more power, it could be adjusted to the percentage of throttle depending where the switch is mounted under the pedal... I'm not sure if the current switch mechinism uses a relay but this would need one

I supplement my disability pension doing cheap headlight refurbs. For bad ones, I start with wet sanding with 800 grit wet and dry to get the yellow off, then 2000 grit to get it flat again, then polish (just use a rag and lean into it if you don't have a buffer,) and then I hit it with 303 UV Protectant. I found clear coating after polishing often dries weird and mucks up light throw, which matters more in country areas like where I am. The 303 lasts about 12 months and you just give it another spray. If the customer wants to pay for it, a clear tint over the lights gives best and longest lasting UV protection.
