That tensioner pulley, the thread being changed from a left to a right hand thread was a big mistake, that thing is going to undo itself now and put a nice dent or hole in the hood, or take some ones face off if they are under the hood when it lets go, it also wasn't straight, so the belt is likely going to keep coming off. Minus that, cool resto.

That button isn't user friendly... change it to a joystick microswitch under the accelerator (the ones used in arcades). This way it'll engage automatically when someone wants more power, it could be adjusted to the percentage of throttle depending where the switch is mounted under the pedal... I'm not sure if the current switch mechinism uses a relay but this would need one

And this is exactly why I have been an MCM subscriber for over 7 years now. Everyone else out there doing high-dollar projects and cars we do love, but most of us can't afford. MCM gives any and everyone confidence that their little nugget can be hopped up and sweetened just like any high-performance car. Keep it up guys, mad love from way across the globe, way over here from Jamaica 🇯🇲.

@K20XRL locktite ain’t perfect - but the red stuff should be sufficient. Problem is that little pulley is spinning 1.5-3x (depending on ratio) than the engine. We’re talking up to 15k RPM - at those speeds nothing will beat a mechanical failsafe..

Got to respect the fact these guys always stick to their roots....nuggety cars. They could easily be out buying crash damaged super cars but they just love a nugget too much. Fair play. I'd lose interest if they started doing supercars and expensive cars. I was actually pretty worried when they got the Lotus even because I thought, what next, a Porsche? I probably would've unsubbed and left if that happened. There are already too many channels and tv shows that do high end cars.

I supplement my disability pension doing cheap headlight refurbs. For bad ones, I start with wet sanding with 800 grit wet and dry to get the yellow off, then 2000 grit to get it flat again, then polish (just use a rag and lean into it if you don't have a buffer,) and then I hit it with 303 UV Protectant. I found clear coating after polishing often dries weird and mucks up light throw, which matters more in country areas like where I am. The 303 lasts about 12 months and you just give it another spray. If the customer wants to pay for it, a clear tint over the lights gives best and longest lasting UV protection.

Tip for gasket making an old boy taught me - Place your gasket paper on the top of the surface needing the gasket. Use the ball end of a ball-peen hammer and gently tap around the edges and on the holes. The edges will cut the gasket. No marking/tracing required!

Those Ogura TX07's sound awesome with a open filter system, if you love a SC whine then building a custom intake to a cold place would be awesome. Had the same charger on a Yaris TS (1.5 vvti) and it transformed the car. Lovely result on this small project.
