My thing is this is a type of fight that I don't think can ever really be settled, as amazing as this video is. These are some of the most over powered comic book characters and live in completely different universes. If Saitama was in the DC Universe Superman would win. If Superman was in the One punch Universe, Saitama would win. Neither of them are meant to lose in their stories.

Maybe he didn't say that directly, but he has said once that since a villain had already killed everyone in the area that he didn't have to hold back anymore. So he is at least conscious of it. Presumably it's just difficult to convince someone who's trying to kill you and everyone else to do it elsewhere, and so Superman just generally doesn't make failed attempts at it.

Its simple. Superman requires reasoning. You need to explain his powers. He exists in a semi-realistic fictional universe. Saitama is a gag character. If his creator says that Saitama One Punches everything then that's that. One Punch Man is a satirical mockery of superhero comics where writers constantly inflate the power of superheros and find reasons as to why they become more and more powerful. Its fiction. Superman can have all his feats but in the end it just comes down to how powerful he is written to be. One Punch Man mocks this by simply writing down. "DEFEATS EVERYONE IN ONE PUNCH" I can create a comic where my superhero's power is "DEFEATS EVERY COMIC BOOK CHARACTER EVER" and thus superman can never beat him no matter what.
