this is a brilliant video. No jokes. Such video can help players to "enter" in group content, not to be scare things like "you mast be the meta build or you are out". For now in GW/ESO there is situation where you need to broke your finger to be the good DD because you must play as Starcraft pro player, spam all your buttons quicker then speed of light (I will say it again and again, game need GCD). Such slower and comfortable rotations give opportunity to create more tactic depend fights, make you be a "thinking" players and not be scared that you f..d up some button because of toon things that happening on the screen. Again - great job to every player who worked on showing this builds. Thank you all.

Thank you for the video and thank you to everyone who submitted an entry, as well as the winners. I have a lot of problems with my left thumb, and I'm down to clicking buttons with a mouse. It's also not just about the disability interfering with mechanical actions, some of us have pain associated with a disability, so hitting a lot of keys hurts. Not only are these builds good for those of us with hand disabilities, they are also good for people with high ping as the rapid rotations used by raid groups tend to not work so well in our countries with larger ping.

Hey ! Very surprised for winning with my subrscription :D I 100% agree with what MightyTeapot about getting this build much higher in DPS and execution. I'm a main Heal Tempest, not really played condi Tempest apart from this build that I created. So I don't really knew how to push that further without increasing too much the APM or including too much individual keys to press. I wanted to keep the build really easy. The most important is that I'm happy the way I built it, and now everyone can play condi Tempest. I might explore more builds in the future. See you soon :)

Maybe try dropping Earth for Arcane 112 and swap Signet of Earth to Arcane Power. Then optimize for burning only with Sinister gear and Balthazar Rune. On a side note having players giving your Elementals Quickness and Alacrity inflates the dps but it is very unrealistic and people might miss that point. Maybe consider to skip that the next time as it is kinda against the idea of a benchmark.

@@Angrax Well I tried dropping Earth for Arcane 1-1-3 but it did the same damage. And with the stuff/traits that I already have, burning condition is already peaking at 100% almost. Maybe getting sinister + Balthazar runes can give the same amount with more Condition damage. That's something that can be tested. Of course there is a lot of ways you could improve this build : Arcane, different gear+runes etc. But as I mentioned I tried to keep it very simple and straight-forward.

Would love to see some kind of competition or just presentation of builds that are designed for strong solo play too. This has been very cool and good for people who don't mind filling group roles like dps or support (as shown) but if you can I'd really appreciate some builds that are designed with self-sustain in mind that can also do decent damage (not top tier of course, just good). I get very very stressed out trying to work with other people, so work done by players like Paper Roll to make builds that solo bounties and shit like that are definitely what I'm looking for more than anything else. I have run MrMystics Condi Mecha those last two weeks and have been running it through all 7 raid wings with a guild used to carry people still learning (meaning people like me) through raids. I got top DPS on several bosses, it is _that_ filthy. Many builds on this list look amazing and I will try plenty of them, but that DPS Mecha build is just insane. "Delete Mechanist" indeed, I fear the June patch will be known as the Massive Mechanist Massacre :(

It sounds counter productive to nerf mechanist to me, since it can massively booost engineer character creation, and very importantly, they created a spec that is as close as the trailer has promised.

I made that build and honestly it is probably not that great besides playing it for boneskinner, the main thing about it is Blood Magic, I dont know why they decided to not mention this at all. I decided to use Celestial stats because I can imagine that surviving in high pressure fights could be difficult when one of these things apply (Maybe you're trying to learn a certain profession or elite spec, maybe you're physically unable to execute builds with especially high intensity, or perhaps you're simply after a more relaxed gaming experience.). The extra defensive stats should help you to stay alive so that you can revive any downed allies. The extra Healing Power buffs the Transfusion a bit which is a nice bonus. But again there are way more efficient builds for quickness generation than Harbinger (including your mentioned 20-24k builds) at least at a low intensity level.

@@Angrax Then Ritualist is the best for that, the Healthpool with Ritualist should be really good enough for your survivablity, also more Condi dmg u providing. The extra healing power will make more sense with scorage for more barrier but harbringer will not provid enough healing to himself or the team. so might as well just go full quickness\dps. also, if u bring this build lets say a raid scnario u will give the tank troubles for running toughness. well this is just my opnion 💐

That setup with the same roation delievered 11k dps. And one does lose all the Healing Power and Toughness. In my opinion for this build toughness is more valuable than Vitality.

The mesmer that won is really low APM -- the one I submitted was higher dps by a decent margin, but was 25APM, a bit above the threshold. His build was really good and low intensity, it fit the competition perfectly.

@@Uhaen or you could just play Staff only with Ritualist stats, provide perma alac and do basically the same damage (compared to the featured Best dps build) on all bosses with 0,4 average attack speed and higher dps for all Bosses above that and have the same apm

Always appreciate easy-going builds, since they are great to get more people into group pve; the more complex builds on snowcrows often overwhelm players after all (even though that's often a problem with packaging on the site). If you like Easy PvE builds and want to have a bit more detailed explanations of classes, I also have a similar series on my YT channel covering all new elite specs (okay, i skipped untamed because it's a meme in group content).

I was about to quit GW2 because my fav Char could not survive long the damage was garbage and generally a struggle to play, (for me). But i found a build that changed everything very low intensity very strong and now i can even solo any hero point in the game and hardly take any damage. with 3 button presses i have seen over 50k damage buildup, changed everything for me now i enjoy combat PvE that is haven't tried pvp/wvw yet.

I do wish some of these came with a proper writeup on how to use them. The HAHerald looks like exactly what I want to add to my lineup, but the Minstrel gear's toughness means you better be prepared to tank raids if you use it.

I started gw2 nine years ago. It's gotten easier as plasticity has set in -- but I was in a car accident 15 years ago and had a really bad stroke. I've been gaming since the 70s, and I'm not inclined to give up on gaming -- but LI builds make that so much more comfortable. Some of us have no twitch, and too little situational awareness. This stuff improves my real-life quality of life.

For me, and I think many others, when I look to the rotations in "classic best meta builds", that's the thing i have to say, nope, i cant do this. Ant this build lose so much if you su** at rotation. Also, you need to focus so much on rotation that, as a beginner, that you are prone to lose situational awareness for mechanics ... And you will die because of this lack in situational awareness.

I play something super similar to the dps harb, super chill and I love the class fantasy. (I like to think of it as a juiced up, drug addict, necro pirate) now onto the important stuff, fashion. warlords head, warbeast chest, bounty hunter legs, scourge shoulders, and corrosive touch gloves,the decade achievement cape, and sylvarri racial boots tier 2 I believe. On a sylvarri but could probably work for a human, just probably something simple for the boots.

I am a little confused as to why the necromancer support entry 42:35 is using a 1 mil health pool golem setting with all 13 conditions inflating the dps at 11k and during the stream it showcased a 24k dps Ritualist Harbinger build identical in rotation and apm to that of the dps Harbinger entry.

As someone who played on 300 ping and sometimes wonky connection, I can always expect an axe spin (for eg Warrior), suddenly does no damage against a mob even when it all seems to hit, as for Reaper's spin to win skill, that time they didn't decreased any HP after the spin due to unstable connection.

Even if I wasn't limited in my mobility, I think this is the Guild Wars I'd want to play. I've never found rotations interesting. They feel like auto attacks with busy work. I want contextual utility that requires situational awareness, not a bunch of on-cooldown micro. Just my vibe.

Every rotation has contextual utility that requires situational awareness. Dumping them down doesnt suddenly make that appear. These videos show a rotation as well. Basically that is how you normally start learning a spec, by using the most important skills off cd and then eventually add more and more until you are comfortable with everything

The highest damage on a golem will always be a certain order of abilities. This is intrinsic to games that have abilities of different dps values(aka mmo’s). It cannot be fixed. The game’s enemies can however be designed in a way that requires you to either use utility(cc, mobility, boonrip etc) or damage in a shortertimeframe(burst). It is not meta builds or rotations that causes your frustration. These are just data that allows you to make decisions with the best possible information. Your frustration is caused by encounter design that does not require enough decision making to deviate from the optimal dps rotation.

Edit: Finally got back to back wins with nonrestrictive pugs with 3+ minutes remaining. This is pretty low by elitist standards but these LI builds really have a tangible impact.

All of them besides the healers will perform well enough for most things, but there's probably a few changes you'd want to make, particularly if you want to solo harder content. Trailblazer or maybe celestial instead of viper gear for condi is nice if you want to be tankier. Beyond that, it's very situational.

thanks for this. this is so much more useful than the usual people just whining about most builds requiring too high APM under the pretense of gw2 having bad accessibility for people with disabilities. i'm not denying that gw2 struggles on some points (like colorblind mode for example), but i saw so many posts with people complaining that they can't play the game at all, because ele and engi (with multiple kits) have so high APM requirements, when literally no one forces them to play exactly those builds. i hope this vid will shift the discussion about accessibility to actual problems.

So huge noob question, I'm newer to the game, watched some of these builds and decided to follow the banner warrior build for my warrior, in the video the guy is hitting with the 5 skill for like 100k, and after following the guide to a T, full exotic gear all the runes etc and using the build I am hitting for nowhere even close to these numbers. what am I missing?

These builds are being used in group situations, which means that they have boons. Boons such as might, fury and quickness can increase damage over 2x!

The fact that ranger had the lowest amount of submissions, weren't all that creative (mostly just slight LI tweaks to pre-existing builds) and were all on SB goes to show the state it's in right now. Ele's complain when they can't hit 40k dps easily anymore, meanwhile rangers struggle to get over 30k while using the same spec and same builds for how many years now? There wasn't a single druid submission either. Sage

I would have loved to see you react to my heal virtuoso Teapot. :D I submitted a lot of spicy builds, but the competition was really strong tbh! Didn't expect that many great and creative builds. Makes checking the other entries that didn't win really worth, though! There are some more (and partially vastly different) huge gamer builds. I always love to see accessible and still great builds, especially to lower the complexity and entry level to raids/fractals/strike missions! I was a bit confused about you saying 20 APM was the hard cut end, though. I thought it was more of a kinda around 20 APM hence why I submitted some builds that were slightly above. Maybe that was on my end, or it was stated a bit misleading. All in all, awesome competition! I'm really happy to see that I won with two of my builds. Thanks to all participators and congratulations to all winners! :) And thanks to you Teapot, Accessibility Wars and all others involved in hosting this challenge! Would it be possible to see how these perform with roughly exotic gear and sigils/runes? (i.e. no infusions) I think that's what most people running these builds would use. The numbers could just be added to the description or something. Amazing work nonetheless!

You just have to decrease all dps by about 10% and you are basically golden for what the build provides under those circumstances.

Infusions don't offer much dps, and it doesn't take long to get ascended gear in VB and two rings in t1 fractals.

No need to think that ascended gear suddenly turns your DPS into top tier man. For one, infusions make such a little difference it's hard to even notice. For ascended gear, anyone can access ascended trinkets very easily and that's where most of your power comes from. The stat difference between ascended weapons/armour and exotic is quite small

The ele part is just sad. Hopefully Anet rework some ele's skill and weapon in the summer patch, and give us an actual easy DPS build coz right now the class feels like its for and only for a really really small group of player.

There are low intensity ele builds that can reach over 28k, and low intensity Support Tempest and Catalyst are also pretty strong

​@@Angrax Well I had tried some of them out, thing is they are not really low intensity, they are simpler than the full ele rotation, both Tempest and Catalyst with scepter & focus / warhorn camping fire can do 30k at its best, with average hand you're looking 28k which is not good for a pure DPS, and let see the APM, dragon's tooth cause 17APM with alac, its about 30APM just the weapon skills, it plays out like Scourge but without all the group utility and do less dps. And then there is the easy scepter Weaver build does 35k which I'm currently using, its about 20APM just switching attunement. I'm not saying there's no ele build that less complicated or they don't perform, is just that there's a lot of better choices with less effort, I don't think most people will choose ele over those choices.

I love the concept, but I think there are some problems that need to be sorted out before considering moving forward with something like this in the future (curating and presenting builds like this). There is NO distinction between where in PVE these would be viable. No distinction in what buffs/team mates are required to make these work as presented. No distinction in SURVIVABILITY, which I think is a VERY important point for LI to have. Something that can hit these damage numbers only at the expense of all survival traits and losing the ability to play solo or pug, for example, would probably not be a great pick for someone with limited ability to interact with the game. I'm just saying a little more info up front about things like sustain and what content these are best for would go a long way. Rather than just pointing out a problem, I will also suggest a solution. If you are going to hold an entry to a APM standard, the submission should be required to showcase in a real world situation. You can use the golem for some synthetic DPS numbers, but if the build requires buffs from a raid group to perform than we should consider what buttons are being pressed in that situation (including that heal button) for the accurate APM.

This is a problem with most build guides. They are tested and built for optimal conditions, which are ironically very rare for people looking for an easy build. I really, really wish there was some kind of survivability index with these and honestly all other builds.

Support includes boons. Quickness Harb is really good at providing quickness and some other boons at very low apm. It's not a heal/barrier build like scourge, but it's a good build for the purpose of this competition.

Oh the build shown here is actually cele blood magic, which is creative, but a bit niche. It actually has decent revive capability while providing quickness and some damage, but you would usually want to go for a more damage focused quickness harbinger build.

To be fair it doesn’t use tombs, gives aegis or stability so all three traits are redundant. But I guess legendary lore has a chance to be useful if the player accidentally opens a tomb.

I made that build. Remember we were restricted to 20 actions per minute. Using heal mantra to proc Stoic Demeanor was not worth the APM compared to other skills. If APM was unrestricted ofc. you would run a mantra and proc of every now and then for more stoic demeanor procs.

Qcata was at 36k which was a lot no matter how many buttons the rotation has. You cant always balance by what the majority of players is capable off. The first nerf was ridiculous but now it is in an ok place

I myself main ele, and probably just a below average (open world) player, I can already play Weaver without much problem since all I need is take sword (sword skill is well designed to be easy to use), use defensive trait, and I can stay alive as long as I have buttons to press. For Catalyst, it feels like they have 3 autoattack buttons I have to pres constantly to begin to work. And on my Tempest and Weaver i could say they are naturally tanker than Warrior(2nd main), are able of tons face tanking (I have awful ping too), on a glass build. As for Catalyst, 3 hits and I have to pop heal skills or im gone.

@@leshie687 you are definitely doing something wrong on Catalyst. I dont know what build you are playing on tempest and weaver but they are weaker both sustain and dps wise. So probably you have the correct build there and play something random on catalyst. Tempest isnt tanky on it's own, you have to take specific stats. What helps is earth trait line with 17% damage reduction and protection from earth overload. 2 things that you can have on catalyst as well. Weaver is the only one who has barrier but you are lacking boons. Unless you drop fire (massive dps loss) and go earth - arcane, you cant have the damage reduction and protection together. Weave self is an important boost because it reduces damage as well by 10%. Now catalyst can have protection by dropping an earth sphere and earth orb is a 15% damage reduction which you can have permanently on you. You should try to always upkeep the sphere effects that you consider most valuable, for as longer as possible. Catalyst is also the only one who has a weapon skill that can top your health off (crashing font and it can also be comboed inside water sphere).
