The weapon design itself is fairly understated, and I wouldn't say the visual effects when using them stand out hugely due to the lack of vibrant colours. I can imagine it would look fairly cool with the right cosmetics, perhaps a ghostly necromancer look.

Not a fan of the floating spears. I can already tell it'd annoy me alot, it cuts off view of parts of your character and seems very stiff when you're moving around.

Mighty, thank you for putting all the effort into showcasing this new Leggie, you are awesome. With that said, compared to the previous legendary weapons we got from the past, with how creative and intricate they were, I can't help but feel... this feel seriously underwhelming. Previous generations, legendary weapons oozed with creativity and passion, you can tell there was a lot of love put into these creations, from serious designs to fun and wacky. Gen 2, the Quaggan Water Tank Shield, Nevermore with the Spirit Raven, the Tuba Horn that becomes enlarged and summons a ghost Calvary, the starry space axe, Gen 1 a shark spear that has a cool of rainbow fish follow you, a sun or night great sword, a cherry blossom nature creating longbow, Moot a freakin disco ball for a mace that summons disco lights underneath your feet! They were legendary because they looked legendary, they were freakin works of art! This spear doesn't feel or look legendary, a few static spear heads that stay in the back with little to no animations, I really don't know what to say. It's either this spear is really really early in it's development, or Area Net no longer has the talent or man power to create passionate works of art like gens 1 and 2. How can a new legendary look worse than the old ones?! HOW?! I feel bad for the overworked underpaid artist who was forced to make this due to a time crunch no doubt.

I heard from someone that apparently the devs weren't impressed with the spear before the release. I also think that the floating armory at the back is just very meh, the rotation animation is absolutely not something I'd want tied with my character. The rest is nice imo but yeah it could be better. At least there's the electric bolt spear from black lion chests, this one look fun!

I feel let down too. Can’t believe this is the same game that gave us eternity and nevermore. Do we even have a creative director overseeing these decisions? I didn’t think anet could do worse than gen 3. But they outdid themselves.

@@MissIshX I’m honestly speechless. Makes me wonder where Arena Net is pouring their resources now a days, I heard they were making GW3 a year or two ago, which would make sense. This leggie like the final form of the Obbi armor just looks and feels very underdeveloped. Like this is early concept or the alpha/beta stage of development of this weapon and they just stopped there. We’re paying 25-50 dollars for this, it’s not right to charge people a product that isn’t finished or fully realized. Don’t want to sound like a broken record, but it’s examples like this that made me not want to buy the new expansion. I’m not going to pay you money if you’re not going to use those funds to further develop the game. I’m done.

Definitely one of the weaker legendaries in terms of visuals but ghost spears aside the variable blades is cool and since every single class can use spears now it's a safe choice for someone wanting a legendary weapon that all their alts can use.

This spear in its own stands out to fit one particular class/spec as if it's custom-made. Initially, looking by its design, colors & animation, it's most suitable for the Revenant & very lackluster on a Guardian. It would've been really amazing if ANet considered customizing this spear for every class.

i would say they should make other reskins of this weapon like they did with Gen 3, it will give players a better reason to make this if they do. If they don't, thank god for ascended weapons.

Thanks for the video. The green effects on the necro skills don't fit at all with the weapon itself and the shiny white point of the spear, just looks bad. The skin isn't great either. The spears behind you are very strange. Knowing Arenanet this will not change. More reasons to make the old spear than this one, very dissapointed.

In WoW it would be 1 skin and 3+ spears. You need to upgrade the item level of your green spear 5 times at a vendor. And then run the same dungeon again on higher levels to get a new blue spear to upgrade 5 more times. And when that is done, you run the same dungeons on higher levels to get a new purple spear to upgrade 5 more times. And the skins for those spears would be for sale on the WoW store. Unless they completely change direction and truly evolve the game, I'm done with WoW.

This comment section is filled with droolers who think glowy effects = good skin. This is by far one of the better legendary skins we have, purely because it doesn't look like some thematically terrible impossible to work into any reasonable armour set ball of glowing light and incongruity.

I think one of the main issues with the spear is that it doesn't alter combat animations like previous legendaries, having all the class colours with a swing instead of making them the same colour as the aura the spear radiates is kind of a let down, it doesn't have to be shiny but would be nice if the spears theme translated into combat.
