Clash of cultures is a real thing. You cannot ignore or minimize major conflicting interests when attempting to integrate humans any more than with other animals. You cannot expect lions and lambs to ignore each other just because you think it would be NICE for them to GET ALONG. Most cultures have perpetual ideals that will not necessarily HARMONIZE. I was made redundant in 2013. From a job I had been in since 1999. I was the only disabled member of staff btw and I was thrown out first. The vile woman at the JC asked me, AFTER finding out that I have MS, if I could drive. I said yes. She proceeded to say “well you could travel 90 miles for a job then”…. Wtaf? I actually don’t really drive outside of my home town as I get lost & confused very easily.. to cut a long story short, I was made to feel like I’d actually been responsible for my redundancy and that I should be applying for at least 10 jobs a week! Ok, firstly, there’s not many employers who actually want me - my disability is looked on as a liability and secondly, there’s not that many jobs in my city to start with! Then my mom & I witnessed a pOl1sh (being careful of Y t b0t5!) girl come in, sit down, have her card stamped and told to go… obviously language barriers or some bs? Who knows? 🤷🏻‍♀️
