Migrate Lightspeed Products to Shopify

i downloaded directly from lightspeed, uploaded to matrixify: 'doesn't look to be in Matrixify format. You need to have at least one of the following columns: ID, Handle, Title, Variant ID, Variant ID [ID], Variant SKU, Variant SKU [ID], Variant Barcode, Variant Barcode [ID]' why is the file not being read? do i change the file myself now?

Hello Sorry to hear about your trouble. There could be multiple issues causing this but usually the problem is that file is not named correctly as per the tutorial to include the words "lightspeed" and "products" in the file name. Hello! I have watched all of your tutorials but dont see one where I may add Lightspeed Retail information over to shopify. Only ecommerce. Do you guys have a tutorial for the retail export? Thank you!

Hello Julia, Indeed our app primarily focuses on LightSpeed ECommerce data migration. We do also support migrating Products from LightSpeed PoS platform with the idea being the same as with ECommerce by exporting Products to CSV files and importing them into our app with a correct file name. I have a job where i need to transfer from lightspeed to shopify. Its about 2000 products with variants (mostly phone's so there is color and gigabite differences linked to pictures. How long do you recon this will take and do you think using this method is a good way to do it?

Hi Guus, It is hard to give such an estimate on how long a migration should take as it is dependent on so many different factors, but as an extremely rough estimate, it could take you 1-2 days. Maybe less, maybe more. It is very difficult to say. If there are no errors, data conflicts, and all needed data is migrated directly then it could be over in an hour or two. You sure can migrate your LightSpeed E-Commerce data with our app as per this tutorial so this approach would be the correct one. I got a plan to move my lightspeed store products into Shopify and after downloading the product details CSV file and uploading it into matrixify I'm getting an error code.

Hello Product images would be migrated over. They are listed as image links in the LightSpeed file. In our app-generated file those links would be listed in the Image Src column and Shopify will download those images for the product when the file is imported. Hello Rocy Villera Matrixify app only supports data migrations to Shopify not away from Shopify. But just in case, we will note this in our Customer Needs list for future developers so that if more users request it and we have it developed, we can let you know.

Hello! This would work only on LightSpeed E-Commerce. We also support LightSpeed PoS exported Products file but note that it will contain very little Product details. It would be best if you could look into first opening LightSpeed E-Com store, migrate your Products into there, and then migrate to Shopify with Excelify from the LightSpeed E-Com.

@@matrixify thank you we also have lightspeed Ecom , but we have over 10,000 products on our onsite and maybe only 1500 on Ecom , what would be the best way to do this ? thank you

​@@cyclebikedublin8412 Thank you for the explanation. In that case, I would say that there are 2 options. 1 - You can look into migrating all Products from Onsite to E-Com. Here seems to be a tutorial page from LightSpeed on how to do that - onsite-support.lightspeedhq.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040967894-Migrating-to-your-new-eCom-store- 2 - If you do not wish to migrate them to E-Commerce, then another option would be manually converting the Onsite Products file to the Excelify template. You would need to export products to a spreadsheet file, ideally CSV or XSLX file. This tutorial seems to show how to do just that - onsite-support.lightspeedhq.com/hc/en-us/articles/360008913053-Exporting-Product-Data After you have all the Product data on hand, you can convert your file to the Excelify template for an import. We do offer this great tutorial that explains basics on converting your file to Excelify template and importing products with Excelify - excelify.io/tutorials/shopify-bulk-product-import/ Just in case, I have also added this as a feature request in our Customer Needs list so that it gets higher in our development priority list for future development. Hello, Most likely because you have a Demo app subscription plan which allows to import up to 10 Products at a time. You should also see a message about it in the app for this import job.
