I used to run all traditional miners moss on all my prospecting gear. Clean up sluice, river sluice, small highbanker. I decided to swap over to dream mat after seen the sluice mat derby video. I ran all my old tailings around a couple yards and found 2 grams of lost gold! Im even running it in my gold cube i just trust it. Now im upset of all the yards i have ran through my old river sluice and never caught the tailings i have prolly left ounces in the river for someone else. Dream mat for the win.

Firstly, why did you raise the rubber flap? Isn’t that supposed to even out the flow of the water so it flows predictably over the riffles? Secondly, if I have a handful of clean gold I’m not going to run it through a sluice. The presence of black sand and pebbles will alter the capture rate.

I raised it on both, because we wanted the full flow. The lesser would be like training wheels, playskool. The material didn't even come off the 1st riffle on the riffle sluice. Any slower a miller table would catch it.

I don't care what gold mat that you use none of them will catch 100% of the gold 100% of the time

Well...TBH, this is a flawed test. The Dream Mat has walls and wells that can hold the flat brass in its pockets (even flat brass that big). The second iteration using metal riffle and miners moss was never going to work. The surface of the miners moss is to dense to allow flat brass of that size to drop down into it, thus allowing it to keep flowing through. The water flow keeps flipping the brass much like a football player flipping tractor tires. I mean...its not rocket science. Flat is Flat no matter how small it is. a 100 mesh piece of gold is flat for most cases yet 95% of the time , it would fall through the miners moss and be trapped in the carpet below(if you're using carpet ((which you should)). I'm in no way saying that the Dream Mat doesn't work with 100 mesh gold. Just saying that this test you used is flawed and an obvious flaw at that.

@@ProspectorsDream Well... you want to test Sluices and mats, i.e. Dream Mat against other mats to show whether its superior in catching GOLD. Perhaps mix 2 ounces of placer gold ranging from 100 mesh to flakes with dirt/sand combo and run it. Then figure up the % losses. And testing Dream Mat against a traditional riffle system that came to be over a century ago isn't really a good test. It's like a poker cheater playing with a stacked deck. You know you're gonna win. Stack it up against technology that is more of this age, like a gold cube, or Gold Hog concentrate matting. But most importantly...test it with GOLD. Not brass or BB's. Or don't. I don't really care. I simply stated a fact...its a flawed test and the reason why. Never said Dream Mat sucks.

It does very well for sure. But looks like you doubled or close to triple the water volume on the old traditional sluice, not apples to apples in my opinion.

What a cry baby, the meter showed the same flow 10-10.5, pay attention. Same pitch. Oh same water also, 😅 the only difference, my phone did the slow motion & my brother's phone did the normal speed. So it's just a frame capture speed between android & apple

Id like to see a more realistic video as to how the gold comes out when you dig it rather than trying to bust myths in ultimate conditions where water is clear water speed by controller and theres no slurry so not putting you down im just really trying to keep it real
