That slam had me up on my feet quick. Also, people forget, although Zobrist had that clutch double to take the lead, Miggy had the winning hit of Game 7 of the World Series.

Was at the game with my Dad and it was the LOUDEST we have ever heard Wrigley at a game - those Cardinals NLDS wins were LOUD, and Game 5 of the World Series got LOUD at times. This one was.....INCREDIBLE. And we met Eddie Vedder before the game. What a night!

I definitely remember this one! Great to see Miggy back in a Cubs video, especially after the way he ended up departing from the club. Miggy saved the Cubs not only in this game but his World Series RBI often gets overlooked.

Correct! Zobrist drove in the go-ahead run but Cleveland scored one in the bottom of the 10th so Montero's RBI was the winning run.

Miggy was part of the special sauce that made the ‘15-‘16 Cubs teams so fun to watch. He had the know how, the personality, and the leadership those young guys needed. He started the hashtag #WeAreGood in 2015 and that when this team really started to feel itself. He will always be a legend in Chicago. Love you, Miggy!

If you're referring to maddon, he was handed one the more talented teams in mlb history, they won 1 world series in spite of his indefensibly terrible decisions, and his failure to manage locker room culture was the biggest reason for the teams consistent play in the next 3 years. Horrible manager.

I was driving home from my second job that night and listening to the game. "Montero up with bases loaded." Was totally thinking He's got this. Almost hit a divider screaming my lungs out!! Every piece of a puzzle fits. Thank you for that moment Mr. Montero!!!

Montero is a freaking legend. I remember thinking after that swing and miss on strike 2, that I hope Blanton makes that mistake again, and sure enough he did. This was easily the biggest HR in Cubs history, and as great as the 2016 NLCS was, this really was the defining moment.

Can you do a breakdown of Fowler’s lead off home run of game 7? Besides zoberist’s hit in extras, Fowler’s hit is the most important in that whole post season. It told us we could win the series after kluber blanked us twice.

I called this grand slam. It was the best moment of my life being a cubs fan. After he missed the middle away slider I looked at my grandma and said. " he's gonna hit a grand slam." I had faith in miggy. He was my favorite cubs player.

I feel like people forget Miggy’s CLUTCH single to drive in another run after the Zobrist double. Arguably just as clutch in that Game 7 cuz the Indians scored another run that inning. That extra cushion gets overlooked.

We were at that game! The ball landed in the next section about 15 rows down. The ball had no spin on it. You could count the stitches! Kid next to us said "why is he hitting Montero?" I remembered Montero hitting clutch hits earlier in the year. I said, "I like his swing here!" Afterwards a girl in front of us turned towards me and said, " You called it! I heard you!" I was kind of proud of myself!

Sadly, when Miggy left, along with Dex, Lackey, Ross, and Jake, this team lost some of its veteran oomph. I’m hoping the front office does some serious retooling in the off-season and brings in some colorful, charismatic, tough vets to help bring the swagger back.

I've always been bummed about the way Montero left the cubs. He was as big a part as anyone in us winning it all and I think some folks forget his playoff heroics.
