Miguron Moyarl Titanium/M390 Folding Knife - Full Review

I've tried so hard to like the Moyarl even though I have one. Even the budget version is unmistakably well built, but I just cannot for the life of me get over the blade to handle ratio. Luckily, their new Velona model was exactly what I was looking for and I couldn't be happier with it.

Bought it the second I saw Neeves video. I’ll have mine Saturday. *I’ll take a deep carry wire clip every time. Like the PMP User2 or Quiet Carry Drift. I know so many people don’t like that style. I think it’s perfect. Not out of place even on a $300 knife in my opinion.

One of the most overhyped (by you) knives that turns out to be absolutely garbage... M390, Titanium scales and a god-awful frame lock is a DOWNGRADE from an already poorly made knife. Its a good LOOKING knife but in practice its absolute $!@#.

How’s the edge retention on migurons M390. Do they do a good job heat treating?

I like it, but do not see $150 worth of improvements over the budget versions. It may be that they underpriced the budget versions, but when I can get micarta and 14c28n for $50, I would choose it over this. At $120 or so, this becomes super compelling.

Is it true that this knife has issues with the clip on thick jeans?

I frackin’ love this knife and opened it maybe 500 times watching tv when I first got it. So satisfying! My only knit picks are 1)why aren’t the scale screws flush?!?! And 2)a little more clearance on the pocket clip for jeans would be nice. That said, I frackin’ LOVE this knife!!! GET ONE!

Agreed! Funny thing, the clips on the budget models have more clearance. Might try swapping them.

Metal, how would you compare this knife with the Kizer Varatas? I've had the chance to handle the Varatas and the budget moyarl. I don't care for the front flipper on the Varatas but I loved the stonewash finish on the plain model. Which has better action? Which do you think has better build quality?

Militaw, Varatas and then this one. The Kizers have better action and pocket clips. Smoother thumb holes also. It's a nice knife but I shave off a little piece of nail every time. I wear Lucky jeans and it's almost impossible to get in and out. It's a beautiful knife and made with TLC but those two things make it hard to EDC.

I have no doubt that this knife is build really well and has amazing characteristics and great quality and such. But its just sooooo boring looking. Thats just my opinion tho. Looks really bland to me.
