All the little pieces: the mother tightly braids her daughter's hair, but her fathers let it be loose and free; the way the hero stays up late reading with him while she was going to sleep without noticing anything was wrong; the laser pointing directly at the hero's penis; the eye color on the hero changes from brown to blue once he's married; the henchmen in the background nodding and smiling when the two finally get together; the villain's uniform is finally unbuttoned when he's at the dinner table with the hero (and the hero is wearing a matching color turtleneck); and where he wore his uniform to bed with his wife he is in a robe and pajamas with his husband.

I also noticed this! I havent seen any 60's spy films so I didnt know how to put the feeling into words, but the colors do a great job of setting the tone. In the villain's lair everything has a grey/blue hue to make it cold, but during the family scenes everything is more saturated, and the whites have more orange to feel warm

At least the bald guy supports good working conditions. Work ends on the clock, no unpaid overtime even when work is ramping up, good security, nobody seems to be overtly unsatisfied with their job, though it is an underground lair it seems to be as well kept as it can be. Solid 8/10, would absolutely work there, maybe needs some PPE for the hot zones but other than that looks like a fulfilling place of work.

The song, the dancing, THE HAND JIGGLE WHEN HE'S COMING DOWN THE STAIRS AT THE VILLAIN, the "stop and 'ooo'", and my personal favorite, watching the minions in the background tap to the beat in the background, some barely moving their hands, some moving their hands AND their heads, it's great.

I really like this video, and feel like it could easily be adapted into an actual movie. A super villain develops a crush on his nemesis (A James Bond style secret agent), and slowly falls in love with him over the years. For a while, the villain is depressed, and his wife somehow finds out the reason. She realizes that she's losing him (this is shown by how her expression changes at the dinner scene). Eventually, the super villain discovers that his love isn't simply one-sided, as he had previously thought, and so he and the agent hook up. The villain (who had been under the impression that his original marriage was a completely loveless one) files for a divorce with his wife, so that he may finally live a happy life (with his partner). The wife disappears for a while, but eventually resurfaces as a new super villain (one who happens to be much more effective than her former husband... Mainly because she has motivation, and is determined to complete what she set out to do), taking the seat on the council that her husband had previously held, and making it her mission to take out the agent (under the guise of wanting to finish what her husband failed to do, but in reality, she truly loved her husband, and is filled with an immense hatred for the man who took him from her).

In the 2nd video, where she gets revenge: same ending. Kiddos have two daddies and a mommy, all under one roof. Also, they are in high school now and attracting their own [notspoilingit]friends! (Too bad there's nothing to spoil because if there's a part 2 for this vid, I've not seen it. Alas.)

from a film perspective this video deserves all the awards, from the cinematic look and feel, to the angles and the old film look and colour pallet used its perfect in every way , the edit is fantastic, its well acted and the song and video are a match unlike most seen now days … its just nice to see real effort put into some videos now and again...

I don't know if it's just me, but whilst the production values are high, it still feels very grounded and indie (in a good way.) It kinda feels like something that, if you really wanted to, you and a couple buddies can make. You can just FEEEL the passion radiating off of this video.

@@michaelralphs5593 I can agree with that, I make music video as well and yes with passion, a few good friends and at least a few bucks for lighting you can make some magic happen ….but this is solid, like the throw back colour is amazingly well done etc …. so I mean they def knew what they were doing … the quality of the video is just mind blowing from a film perspective ...10/10 will watch again ….and again ...and again lol...

@@michaelralphs5593 Oh no no. This production value is crazy. Color grading alone is crazy. Feels super retro. To make that retro look come alive the set design and color palette is also super crazy! To me this music video is more difficult to do than most flashy pop music videos with lots of effect and blooms. Cinematically everything needs to be in Sync to make this. add: I'm no expert but I can wrap my head around making most of the commercial music videos. But this one is beyond me.

I haven’t even thought about this song in ages, but randomly woke up last night with it stuck in my head. My favorite part by far is the red light and buzzer at 5 pm. The Evil Lair is closed until tomorrow at 9 am. Stop your evil lasering until tomorrow and go home to your “loved” ones. This isn’t you, this is just your day job. That’s when he really stops and asks himself what he’s even doing, and why.

@@lxindustriesofficial Obviously. I kidnap and laser people because that's what I do, because I'm evil. But I run my lasering on strict shifts, and when it's 5 PM it's time to stop lasering. Otherwise I get hell from the Evil Lasering Union Local 42. You can't even imagine the cost of insurance for a gigantic laser murder cavern. Not only is there health and safety, and general liability, but what if I do something foolish with it like laser my arch-nemesis? His family would sue me for $100M. Far better to, well...
