@MGAF6887 жыл бұрын
What really makes Miike Snow special is the creative/unusual music videos that accompany the music itself. The music videos are clever and entertaining - like mini-movies.
@davidlane1248 Жыл бұрын
The early 2000's MTV scene really got into the whole "mini movie for a music video" thing, but a lot of them were largely unconnected to the lyrics, just something that fit the vibe of the music. Nothing wrong with that, but that's why the videos themselves aren't remembered as vividly as the music It really stands out in Miike Snow music videos because they often tie in heavily with the theme AND lyrics while telling very emotionally driven mini stories about the human condition. Despite the lack of real dialogue, these are stories about characters, not events- something really hard to pull off in such a short span. Not to mention these serious looking characters breaking out into dance in the middle of the scene and the supporting cast just kinda goes with it while still in character It's charming on multiple levels and feels like the story is taking place as the beats of the song change. It's truly master class story telling, but on a small scale. Like an incredibly talented artist doodling intricate pictures on a post it note

I love the touch at 1:06 which establishes that the Soviet leader is actually Khrushchev and the memo talking about the missile crisis... places this video on the timeline a bit more. Also again, perfect lyrics for the video! I would very happily watch a series about these two trying to reconcile the wars within themselves and each other. Two very important men on opposite sides of conflict consistently finding themselves running into one another. They are doing their damnedest to avoid each other, but the circumstances of their employments continuously drive the two into one another's paths in one way or another. They were, or are, for all intents and purposes, "straight" when they are around everyone else, but they are inextricably drawn to one another. They do not know why, but try as they might, they find it harder and harder to fight their urges. They are forced to keep yet another secret from the people they love and the people they work for. Until, one day, they eventually end up in an underground lair, where the one has the opportunity to kill the other, but hesitates. It could all be done. This insane madness that strikes when they are in the same room together could end and he could go back to the world he knows. But he can't do it. The button is right there in his hand, but he can't bring himself to destroy this man, the bane of his existence. They are connected. He doesn't know what will happen if he destroys this other person. Will things go back to normal? Or won't they? He presses a button. The shackles release and the man moves to make his escape, but he, too, hesitates..and then!..well, we know the rest of the story!

If portability is your game, Audeze Sine could potentially be the best in its class.
