My favorite player of my childhood. I met him and John Lynch during a summer football camp with Herm Edwards. He was a monster up close. Was deceptively quick for a guy who could squat 625 and bench 500. But his torque with his legs never stopping at him able to push entire piles from zero movement positions it’s just insane. He’s one of the most underrated players of all time. When they played this team every single team stacked the box, most teams ended up running one corner locking KeyShawn and a backer and safety spying Alstott. Him and Dunn we’re literally 85% of the offense. So his numbers are not impressive. But simply look at those runs. That was not a good Oline, Look how many times he turned chickenshit and the chicken salad. Even Jerome Bettis needed a good line but I’ll start does not need a running start he’s so powerful. The only one better being hit and not affected was Jim Brown. The A-Train should be in the Hall of Fame for sure. On a sidenote look how good Keyshawn Johnson was it blocking for a receiver. I forgot just how great he did at blocking.

Shocked Alstott not in the Hall of Fame. Does any team in the NFL currently even have a fullback?
@The_0G_Chad3 жыл бұрын
The Atrain is the man but damn look how good Keyshawn Johnson blocked. I forgot why Parcells loved him so much. He wasn’t just good at it he like to do it you could tell…. It also makes sense why he was always getting in fights with the corners. Even as a defensive guy, I have to admit corners do not like getting roughed up, they like to be the hunters.

So I heard neither John Lynch or Mike Alstot are in the hall of fame. Is this true ? I'm a vikings fan but I'd have to say those 2 guys are legends and should be first ballot HoF inductees.
