incredibly underrated band in the 80s but an amazing band still doing it big time after all these years... top performers live, never disappoint, they still produce excellent albums, singles that still sell. Where are all the bands who got pushed and fell away quickly but OMD still innovate and excite...catch them live if you want to see the best.

OMD aren't perpetuated by 80s "fans" because so much of the fandom of that era is in fact totally ironic. OMD were a *massively* influential first-wave synth act, but because they didn't wear make-up, have silly haircuts, or act over-the-top, they aren't as celebrated as second-wave acts like Frankie Goes to Hollywood or Howard Jones (both of whom were heavily influenced by OMD).

OMG I LOVED Pretty in pink and The breakfast club so much!!!!!! Molly Ringwald in her super cool pink selfmade ball dress in the end, while this OMD song was played in the dance hall - I will never forget this picture! I had completely forgotten about this song. Thanks for the reminder and the reaction. At the time this song came out I was a total metal-head and was listening to Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Ozzy Osbourne, Dio, Motley Crue, WASP, Kiss and on and on and on. Lol. Good times! :-)

@@MikeandGinger Yes. I'm still a metal-head at my core but I do enjoy other music genres now. Metal is still what gets the heart pumping and the blood flowing though. Guess you can say that I am still true to my roots. Lol. Good times! :-)

I remember was 24 and my lover 27 and a model went to NYC for a modeling job and felt sick went to the emergency room and was told he had the gay place thron in a quarantine word and never left at 60 I still pine for him

@@forestfire1232 Those songs that i mentioned are far from "Experimental",...those are pretty pop songs,...that's all,....i assume that you are north americans,i only said that because it's a pity that OMD only got a hit in the USA with "If you leave" cos it was in the "pretty in pink" movie,...the band doesn't like very much this song,...it wasn't my intention to hurt your feellings or something,...it was only an advice,...maybe if you listen to those songs you'll be surprised ( sorry for my poor english) Cheers from Barcelona!! ( i consider experimental people like Conrad Schnitzler for instance or Cluster, both from germany in the early 70's, making electronic music that had nothing to do with your Rock/blues),...and again sorry.
