As a person with a disability, the Matt comment pissed me off too! Don't tell us what we can or can't do. We understand our limits because we live with them every day. I work cows, cut hay and do MOST all of the farm chores. Matt keep doin you my friend!!! Mike, it awesome youre such a good friend.

Thank you John. I have MS also. Just like Matt. Being a Chicago policeman he might not have been able to handle, I don't know his background. I live near Chicago and it's a tough area to police, I'm sure. But, living with MS myself, I know my limitations everyday. It also changes daily. I imagine Matt wouldn't do anything to harm that calf if he felt he couldn't get the job done. Just bc we have "disabilities" does NOT make us useless!

I was really surprised someone said that about Matt. They apparently don't know what its like to fulfill a desire to work while still able ESPECIALLY if, say, working on a ranch is a dream. I dont know the circumstances as I am a new viewer and really didn't know Matt had a health issue. Couldn't tell. I would have been awkward first few times tagging. Heck I have pieced ears. Multiple over the years..no pain there.

So glad for the q&a. I think it's awesome that Matt helps out where and when he feels like it. I've had 2 friends with MS and they both told me that they were grateful to do whatever they could. Marty looked to be having so much fun letting you chase after her. Does Ethel always turn her head back and forth from one side to the other? So enjoy you sharing your day to day things for others to see. Have a great evening. Mackenzie it is so wonderful that you play the cello. You should do a short video for us all to listen to.

We all have disabilities whether they be physical, emotional or intellectual and those disabilities may be obvious or invisible. Matt may have a disability, but having MS does not mean that he is unable to be productive on the ranch. Only Matt can determine what he is comfortable in doing and from what I've seen, he is adding value to the ranch.

I am honored that you share with us. Matt and Jeff are great additions, in that they know how your operation works, and can just jump in, to do whatever needs to be done. Your QandA session was neat. Thank you for Vlog #15. I was away for the Easter weekend. I can only add, "Keep on, keeping on!" You do a great job. Your character showed through with calf #1. Erin did all she could as well. We know that. . . . My wife is a retired physiotherapist. She worked with other people to help others with disabilities. That was her working life. She loved helping people. Matt is fortunate that he has had some warning to show him that he better enjoy each day. More power to Matt. He knows his limits. . . . I will end with a true story. When we first got married, we moved to a small city in Saskatchewan. She had a patient in a care facility who had been in a stupid car collision "playing chicken" with a friend. He was brain injured and he had a spinal injury. Every Friday they got him ready to go home for the weekend. He was in a wheelchair and he had trouble with speech as well. They started getting him up on bars and he managed to start with some small steps. In a few months, he was able to walk without bars, with assistance. My wife asked me if she could take some old Motor Trend magazines to work. . . . Well, fast forward the best part of a year. Her "patient" was able to leave the care facility and go back to the farm. In time, he got married and they had a family. He was able to run a successful farm. I wonder what would have happened if she and the other physiotherapist gave up on the person who only did one stupid thing. He had determination to go on when given another chance. Mike, you have a genuine, gentle spirit. "Keep on, keeping on!" You have been "blessed" with a wonderful family. (I realize that you might not like the word "blessed".) Thank you for your KZbin channel. People can watch what they want. . . . but, they can just fade away without being nasty. We do not have to be nasty in return. We can take the high road instead. 😊

Thank you, thank you, thank you. You've educated me in more ways than you can imagine. The naysayers are always going to be out there; don't pay attention to them. You and Erin know who you are and from my view point you both can stand proud. As far as Matt is concerned, I still think he dyes his hair and you can tell him I said so. Jeff, so glad to see you back and jumping into the "piles" with both boots helping out. Keep doing what you're doing, keep educating, keep being the good people you are - I love it!

This is my first year with your channel and I’m loving the 30 in 30! I’ve learned so much and look forward to learning so many more things. You are real people living on your ranch sharing your trials and tribulations with all of us. For me it’s a pleasure to watch and learn, thank you for sharing. I share you with my whole family too and tell them all I’ve learned. I find ranching fascinating!

Hi MIKE, I’m so sorry to hear about #1. Both you and Erin did all you could. I’m from California and look at your channel as often as possible. I tell my husband John that when next we do a road trip I want to go to the ranch store. Thank you for all you and your family do. God bless you all.

Some people get off off saying crappy things to good people. I hope you know a lot of people enjoy and look forward to watching your videos. You have a good family and good friends and that says a lot about your character. Hang tough my friend.
