if you watch mariners all the time, you know just how much shit Blowers calls before they happen. Not to this degree, of course. But still.

It was Rick Rizz in the initial interview...Dave Neihaus in game.

I grew up in the town that Mike Blowers lived in (Spanaway Wa). My dad and I were walking out of Fantastic Sams on Pacific Ave after getting a hair cut and Mike Blowers was walking in. My dad got his autograph and then told him to hit a home run that night. That night we watched Mike Blowers hit a home run on TV. Talk About calling a homer.

He was referring to Blowers’ accurate pre-play prediction, which is something Romo has become known for in recent years when doing color for NFL games. RIP, Dave, who made every one of my summers from age 7 to well into my thirties much more enjoyable regardless of some of those craptastic Mariners teams.

So Chris Berman, Chris Collinsworth, Joe Buck, Stephen A Smith, Skip Bayless, Jaylen Rose, Barry Melrose and many other "popular" male sports analyst are better? Hardly. And I am not so shallow that appereances automatically make you good at what you do. By that assertion, I would think any hot girl taking her top off in a terrible horror flick is a good actress. I know women that could run circles around most guys when it comes to their knowledge of sports.
