Georgia averaged 458.6 yards and 41.3 points per game in the final year of Bobo's previous stint as offensive coordinator. He was a great qb and even better as as an OC. Georgia won't miss a beat as long as our QB's do their job

Agreed, but it wasn’t the offense, it was his play calling in big games that hurt. He has a great offensive mind, eager to see what he does with all these weapons at his disposal

I had a great conversation with Greg Blue’s father a few years ago and he said that even tho Mark Richt was a great guy and a decent coach, that the reason we didn’t win championships (national) back then was because of Mark Richt and his decisions that ultimately cost the dawgs in key games. He was quick to correct me when I thought Bobo was one of the main reasons we couldn’t pull off that one key win during the Richt era. He said Bobo didn’t get enough credit and the players liked him a lot

Need to see his Stats in the Big games. His offenses didn't always show up. I heard someone say he averaged 18 ppg in the bigger opponents. I saw him make really poor calls in those games too many times. He was getting booed constantly torwards the end. Rumors were he was getting pressured to leave. His play calling was definitely suspect at important times in big games. I guarantee you if he starts handing off in big games with the gamevon the line, he will deluged by the older folks that saw that too many times.

Some ppl trash Coach Bobo from the CMR days but he was a good coordinator and has had 9-10 years experience since then. He'll be fine.

Wish nothing but the best for Bobo. I think in time, this will be a great hire. He had a year to learn under Monken and isn't changing the playbook and verbiage much at all. Per Monken, some of the crucial plays this season and a few against OSU were solely Bobo's call, he relied on Bobo often. Looking forward to what Bobo can do with this stacked offense.

I have met Mike while he was on a recruiting visit and he is a very good Christian man, a great family man and a great OC for Dawgs. He still has a love for the UGA that an alumni has. He is a DGD.

Bobo just slipped up on Beck being the starter when he said “we don’t have a guy with elite quickness and the ability to extend plays like Stetson did.” And then corrected himself by saying, “Well we do have two”.

Different level of everything there. The metric I prefer to use is his time under Richt. We didn't have as many elite players as now, but we did have them with Murray, Gurley, etc. He also understood that it was time to update his approach to the game, which being under Monken was without a doubt a revelation for him, I'm sure. We are going to score a lot of points under Bobo, 35-40ppg, it's the big games where I'm concerned. Can he play "chess" with Saban now? That's the big question.
