Mike talking about "crescendos" during a game is such a huge point. Listening to Bellator on CBS the other day with Fedor V Bader, the play by play commentator had his "crescendo" dial turned up to 11 for the entire night. He seems to be treating every little thing happening like it's the biggest deal ever, and it actually takes away from the big moments because he can't go any higher from 11 where he was already at.

As great of a basketball career that JJ had, he might even go further in his media career. You can tell how seriously he takes his interviews, especially when he's interviewing Mike Breen here. He's looks like a giddy 14 year old sitting on the edge of his seat, soaking up every single word. Insightful and unique questions that come from a serious wish to understand, learn, and incorporate the knowledge and expertise of a legendary broadcaster into his media repertoire.
