I hear Dylan, Petty, and Richards in that voice. Great shit!! We need more bands like this in the world. Tom is smiling down...

Mike Campbell is a true artist. Not bad for a 70 year old Heartbreaker. Not bad at all.

Petty was my favorite artist ever and knew Mike was a backbone for the heartbreakers. After hearing some of mikes band’s songs, I’m buying tickets to a show near me next month. Hands down. This shit is gold.

Mike Campbell is the among a small group of musicians that inspire me with their iconic licks and their songwriting. While I find most guitar players do one or the other better, Mike is a master of both and continues to impress even now into his 70’s. Keep going Mr. Campbell. Thanks for all the tunes.

I hear Lousiana Rain intro. My favorite song possibly ever. In my opinon, Lousiana Rain was the best demonstration of all the Heartbreakers talent contributing with their instruments in a TP song with his voice and lyrics. No one knows what I'm talking about but that song rocks

I have loved Mike Campbell since hearing the licks on "Breakdown." Been a fan of his former band since that day. he's always been one of my favorite guitarists. If I played, I would study two main guys - him and George Harrison who himself was in a popular band. (Two actually, one with Tom Petty)) I didn't know he could sing, too!

super. I don't have Instagram but I noticed sometimes you do like a live chat or a Q&A is there a way you can write in like a Gmail or anything if you have a question? I've always wanted to know what are those elusive cords that run fooled again and I don't like it there's an open chord that is just really weird sounding and no one seems to get that fingering right.

*Good stuff, but the vocal is 'too close' to Tom's (even when you're speaking) in my opinion. Tom's unique (trademark) voice is' too unique' to be emulated so closely. Jus sayin'*
@Highland8043 жыл бұрын
I don't think Mike sounds at all like Tom, talking or singing. Maybe, just maybe, it's because they both come from FL.
@timg.33263 жыл бұрын
@@Highland804 Interesting. Well I grew up in Florida, have listened to Tom and the Heartbreakers since their beginnings, I'm also a (signed to a record label) singer, songwriter, music producer and know music pretty well. I only say this because I have a very trained ear. However, I think Mikes vocal is 'so close' to emulating Tom's vocal essence that I feel no one needs an ounce of ear training to hear the similarities in a MAJOR way. I'm not the only one,. many out on the internet agree with what Im saying.
@barbaramccroy86633 жыл бұрын
I think Mike Campbell sings like Mike Campbell. No imitation . For me he is his own master of vocals and he sounds like a major vocalist who could of had his own band and we wouldn’t even be comparing him to T.P. I think Campbell is very sexy and he can do it all . In fact he has done it all.♥️✌️No disrespect to T.P🧚🏻♂️
