I've never seen Tommy Emmanuel do "so little". Mike Dawes already covers so much of this song on his own that there is hardly any room for another guitar. Yet, Tommy finds his way to add even more layers to it. He doesn't draw too much attention, he rather elevates what Mike does even further. Brilliant collaboration, two masters at work in perfect harmony. Love it!

I can't think of a better instrumental duet: Dawes sounds like a six piece band by himself with an out of this world technique, which lays down a rich groove that has Emmanuel on a high before he plays a single riff. But the best thing, is that all of it ALL OF IT is in service of the music, the co-creation, and none of it is ego-driven showy stuff. Lots of people like the circus, but this is what it would sound like if Michelangelo and Einstein were musicians and got down to it. WOW!

Woow... Let me thank You both for this massive amount joy you are bringing night in night out to basically everyone who hears this and isn't deaf... Not many people actually realize what a blessing it is to get the chance listen to such a performance, and only few people globally can provide such a thing. I dont know how to put it in a sentence, excuse my english, I'll translate from my language couple of things I have to say, since I cant remerber when was the last time I was so moved by some piece of music: 1. The sound coming out of your instruments is so perfectly set and ballanced, minimalistic and powerful at the same time... so colorful and so beautiful. If I hadn't heard Tommy live many times, I'd be sure it was heavily mixed and filtered. But guess what, I know You would play this in the middle of the night and it would be. And Mike, you are couple of years younger than me, but sometimes it seems like you are some kind of highlander/performer/artist on tour that is lasting for centuries. I wanna live to hear your live performance when You'll be 60 years old, with double the experience compared to now? 2. Arrangement - I've been playing for almost 30 years now and I am 100% incompetent to say one single word except WOOW again 3. The flow - most people dont realize that timing the dynamics from harsh to almost silent is probably one of the hardest "intangibles" on the guitar, since it cannot be teachable... simply takes decades.... 4. Skill set - Is anyone familiar with that feeling of giving up and burning all of my guitars ASAP, but at the same time feeling motivated and hungry for the strings. Eventhough 99,99% of us mortals will never reach any level close to this, please do take credits for one more thing: You ve made so many guitarists work harder and become better players... and that is huge, and please keep that in mind Sorry for long spammer post, but I had to write this... P.S: Thank You for the music
