I’m a 40 year old dad of a daughter that I love very much. I grew up on punk rock and skateboarding. I will say that I weep every time I watch this. This song, to me, is about being 20-21 years old, broke, living in an awful apartment, hanging out with your friends, sometimes a little too hard, barely surviving, and trying to figure out how you are going to eat the next day. It’s a beautiful full circle to know that your little one is okay and sleeping soundly upstairs - and that you survived all that you’ve been through so that she wouldn’t have to. That’s what I think resonates so very deeply in this cover. Thank you for making this. It is touching. The poignancy of the lyrics shine through so clearly. Cheers!

Me too! 41, 3 young kids. I was skating all day 20-25 yrs ago, not a worry on my mind. No girls, no stress just trying to land tricks off the stairs and ledges of my usual spots. The innocence of these days is captured in nofx and other punk rock bands i used to listen

@@webothlose i sooner would try a new addiction to heroin than anti-depressants. Anti-depressants do nothing but make you depressed and suicidal in the end. what a bad suggestion. If you are on wellbutrin which i suspect....know that you will soon have throughts of suicide, and those thoughts are due to the pills. Stop em and you will feel better. Companionship is the only natural anti-depressant out there, find a friend.
