I'm from WA state and I absolutely crush them on spinnerbaits in Sep and Oct. It's my favourite way to get them and you can cover a ton of water, which is good when you start running out of daylight.

I used the gilly as a trailer on a buzzbait and caught one. I'll be using it more often in the future.

Molix Supernato Beetle. I carry 8 rods when I beat the banks ( boat is not in my budget) and the Beetle is always tied on one of them. I can work it like a popper, walk it, cast onto shore and work it fast as soon as it touches water. I've caught more 5 lbers on the Molix than any other lure I throw.

You said a boat was not in your budget, but you're casting onto the bank and working it off the bank. I'm confused.😮😮

@@robertdahle7216 @robertdahle7216 I work the corners of lakes and ponds. I Target waterways that are small enough that I can work almost the whole pond., many of them are more rectangular than round, so with a good cast you can hit the shore on one of the other sides of the pond and work it back into the water.

Hi Mike - Can you do a show on using heavy - 1/2 - 3/4 Spinnerbaits Slow- Rolled just off the Bottom and how you can use them to tell how the bottom Structure is - If I feel it bouncing around I know there small rock and uneven terrain- If I bring it up to recast and have to take weeds off I know I'm in an area that has structure and weeds- You might have to change baits- but you know fish are in this area- Explain the difference between Silver and Gold blades And when to use each one- I find a Sweep Hookset allows me to reel in slack in case the fish runs towards the boat and in a position to backreel in case he runs against the drag- Also I'm closer to the water and It lengthens my reaction time to drop the rod tip if the fish breaks the surface and shakes his head - Slow rolled Spinnerbaits do well on Cape Cod Ponds where these ponds are loaded with Alewives and Herring and Shad coming in by way of creeks that flow from the Atlantic Ocean- They fill up on bait fish So they really don't need to hunt for Craws!!

Would you recommend the same for the Upper Susky? Also would you throw any non-moving baits, or follow up baits?

YES!

Number one -- 3 second grenades for shallow water , number two - delay fuse grenades for deeper water. Depth charges for scattered fish , and rotenone when every else fails !!! lol 😂

Same im not saying it don't work just don't work here like large swimbaits. I call em O O baits cuz giants just follow them and make you go O O
