Greg isn't an elite bodybuilder either tho, he's just a really good pro bodybuilder. I don't think he ever broke the top 10 at the Olympia? Mike's goal isn't to be elite it's to simply get a pro card. And it is possible for him. He needs to learn how to pose better because his front poses suck really bad and just accentuates his bad upper body structure. If he learns how to pose and gets just as shredded as Greg was, he could obtain a pro card. He will never be an ELITE bodybuilder but he could definitely get a pro card. He has the size and good enough shape, he just has go really dial in these things.

@@clutchboi4038 you can even tell by his an insertions. I’m not talking about his size and conditioning I’ve seen mike bone dry conditioned before but it’s his aesthetic part of his physique that won’t get him pro. I know a lot of people can’t comprehend this but aesthetics is a massive part of the vote for a bb to get the pro card. He should just focus on his science based lifting and getting jacked as possible. But for example look at mike next to Jared feather. Jared is like an aesthetic mass monster and they do the same exercises. Mike just doesn’t have the insertions or genetic “shape” for it. That’s the point I’m making. Greg had the Greek God style physique super tight waste and very symmetrical in all the right places. Mike just looks…. Like a super jacked dude. But look up pics of Mike bone dry conditioned for a Bb show. He just doesn’t have that edge unfortunately. But you are correct due to his mass he does have a small chance at possibly nailing a pro card but IMO with the younger generation he’s competing against he has no chance. Again just my personal opinion no harm.

I think you will come to see the truth of it all with time. Genetics make up about 75 percent or more of how good you looks. Same with strength. 10 percent how lean you are, 10 percent gear, 5 percent training protocol. (Obviously for a bbing competition condition means more, I’m saying like at the gym you look at a guy and say holy shit not a competition). There are ppl that could bench 225 for 10 untrained. @@vlada it really isnt. He placed 8th in a Pro show that would have made him qualify for the Olimpia. So no, i dont think its average genetics or Average Physique for a Pro, if considering he had the weight he could have now(They increased the weight limit for his height) then i think he could have placed top 3 maybe even win the show and qualify for the Classic Mr. Olimpia, because he asked the judges and he was the most peeled on stage that day (No surprise as Greg has never once been sloppy), but he lacked the size, and the problem was for his height, he maxed out the size. Then he went on to complain about how he couldnt be bigger and the height to weight ratios were wrong, they of course didnt listen, but then 5 or something years later, they finally increased the weight to height ration for the shorter people(Everyone under 6'1 or something like that).

No it wouldn't. The problem he had was he couldn't make his physique look better than everyone else without upping his size and being disqualified from the divisions. Mike has come in looking so terrible at so many shows (his first is too old to be on NPCnewsonline but pics are everywhere; he looks literally like one of those people who go onstage to make fun of bodybuilding) but looks better at each one; on the most _generous_ assumption of clear thinking, he will have some awareness of how this damages his brand but feels this is reason to keep improving so that he can finally reach a decent stage appearance and have that to show. Even that I think is delusional. Then again, who am I to tell him it's a bad business decision? I'd be the business version of Dr. Mike himself when he goes around saying various Olympians are training foolishly and he's bigger and stronger and so forth.

This is such an interesting world. The cattiness is unmatched in any other male genre. It reminds me of female cheerleading. I do give the utmost respect to those who do it, now that I've been trying my hardest to get bigger for the past year. Lifting is the easy part. Over-training is easy to do, and cutting back was a hard pill to swallow, but I think that's an important lesson you must learn, or you will fail. It's really the other two areas that are the toughest. Diet and recovery. If you don't have your training, diet, and recovery fine-tuned, you will not see results. Mike is fully aware of all three. His problem is that he doesn't love the process of getting "Show ready." Not many sane people would, but you must if you want to win. Greg lives the process even when he's not competing. He's living it right now. Mike is by far more informative, intelligent, and inspiring, in my opinion. Greg is full blast drama and uses a fake voice, but I like that kind of thing occasionally. It's a good feud between the two.

Mike is a great resource for people who don't want to perform well in their competitions. He's great for gullible people who see his size and assume that his advice is applicable to themselves, even though he's taking massive amounts of gear to get to the mediocre state he's in. It's obviously going to look like your methods work if you are actively cycling massive amounts of gear, enough so that he's taking gear to manage his gear side effects. He's great for people who make excuses when they fall short, and don't make adjustments or take accountability. He hasn't had success as a natural bodybuilder or an enhanced body builder and he struggles to follow his own dieting advice (or maybe it doesnt work?) so he is consistently overweight and out of shape, even when preparing for competition. Greg is great for people who can tolerate the parot from aladdins voice, and constant memeing, supplement advertisements, and poking fun at other influencers (drama?). Beyond that he's great for people who want advice that works, and routines that got him to win multiple competitions as a natural and earn his IFBB pro card. Greg has advice for power lifters, natural bodybuilders and enhanced bodybuilders because he was extremely successful as all of them. He's one of the harder personalities to tolerate but his information and authority in the field is miles above what Mike will ever have. Both have credibility as educators in their field, with Dr. Mike earning his PhD in Sports Science, and Greg earning his Masters in Kinesiology - Both degrees give someone more knowledge than the average lifter and the ability to be educators. I think the real deciding factor for me is that the proof is "in the pudding" - Greg displays all of the pudding... and Mike seems to eat the pudding instead of providing it

Mike's cutting diet was disaster, considering his diet i'm not suprised he didn't get very lean. Thing is he knows better than that, yet for some reason he chose a poor diet.

Mike is... off. He's like just literate enough to get himself into trouble, and he does because he's extremely arrogant, yet not humble/intelligent enough to understand what he doesn't actually know. The guy literally said "the highest IQ people have the following political views" then listed basically his personal political views. I don't even necessarily disagree with his political views but to make a statement like that is wild. That's a level of hubris I can't comprehend. He's delusional. I don't even know what kind pathology to label him, but he's something. He thinks he's much more intelligent than he actually is. He's almost like Joe Rogan if Joe Rogan actually had a college degree. Greg on the other hand seems like a pretty normal, well adjusted, successful, competent, self assured but not arrogant guy. He doesn't have to have opinions, much less the final word, and know everything about everything. He knows the stuff he knows, he stays in his lane, and he's competent in his lane. I'm sure if Mike stayed in his lane he'd come off a bit better but the guy thinks he knows better about everything than everyone. It's kinda sad.
