Spectacular version of a really good tune! Another awsome Concert with Mike Mainieri and Billy Cobham from 1/27/1983 is with GIL EVANS AND HIS ORCHESTRA. Interesting little tid bit... COBHAM meets BELLSON, HERBIE HANCOCK,RON CARTER and BILLY COBHAM and Gil Evens where recorded from 1/26/83-1/28/83. One show each day... Plus Bellson's Big Band without COBHAM was recorded That same week! Idk, I think it's cool anyways.

So the great Mr. Cobham plays drums left-handed!

It's a right handed set up but he plays what's called "open handed" meaning he rides with his left hand but his right foot plays the kick drum and everything is set up as a righty. I'm the same way only I ride with my right hand and play open handed sometimes on the hi hat (left hand on the hi hat and right hand on snare).
