The incredible irony here is that, after all the vocal powers he's had sing for him - Jon Anderson, Max Bacon, Roger Chapman, Aled Jones, Barry Palmer, Maggie Reilly - my favorite Mike Oldfield vocal song is one that he sung himself. ^_^

I love both his pop and intstrumental music. He really is a musical genius, and he does well in any genre, just as Julian Tuwim, Polish poet, did both great poems and funny cabaret (most of these, unfortunately, didn't survive post war). I like that he managed not to get pigeonholed in one genre and experimented with pop music. And this song really is uplifting.
