You may have forgotten that this was the era of the famous 'Lip-synching wars' between music artists and the TV Music shows who flatly demanded that performing had to be mimed to their recordings instead of being allowed to play live! The artists showed their protest by totally exaggerating their movements and singing so that it was obviously faked! Something to remember when watching clips from the '80's!

love oldfield. tubular bells 2 at edinburgh castle. worth a look . he is an under rated guitarist, more classical all his stuff is different from anything else

that video is not a real videoclip. I mean, it was a 'playback' programm from Germany called Bananas. The real videoclip is this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5m1nKx_qN-UrJo Also, the guitarrist is the actual composer, Mike Oldfield, and he used to perform too much on the playbacks like a protest for not beign able to perform live on this kind of programms
