Some killer lines in here, Mike! I’m not going to lie…even if I could freestyle like you, it would be hard to ignore those gorgeous concrete banks. I’d have a street board handy to grab a little transition sesh after freestyle practice. Thanks for sharing your talent, knowledge and encouragement for the sake of skateboarding at large, and especially freestyle. You are an inspiration, brother!

Why is this board so small? Is the shape different? I’m a total beginner lol
@mike_osterman14 жыл бұрын
Hey man, thanks for asking. I’ve got a bunch of videos out there explaining that, but in short, I like having a more maneuverable board. Freestyle boards are generally smaller than traditional street skateboards bc we dont need stability for hucking down stairs. FS boards also usually have shapes and concaves that support freestyle tricks. Things like mellow kicks and mellower concave
@axelstone31314 жыл бұрын
Mike Osterman hey man thanks for the reply. I bought a complete a couple days ago. It’s a 7.75. A normal street board? Anyway I should have got an 8. Because it’s hard to balance it. I don’t have the biggest feet but i think I made a mistake getting a 7.75 because I was recommended to actually get an 8. I had no idea there were so many different size boards and all this stuff. I feel a bit overwhelmed to be honest. Trying to learn about it all. I’m interested in street/freestyle for sure. But I feel a bit lost. I did used to have a skateboard when I was younger but never actually learnt to ride it properly which I’m trying to do now before I learn any tricks.
