Props to you Chael for giving Perry some much deserved SHINE! Even as a 50/50 fighter in the UFC, I thought Perry was a "star". His personality is "unique" and he draws eyes whether he wins or loses. The UFC made a mistake in not keeping Perry IMO. Perry is much like Nate Diaz in that people just want to see his personality and balls out fighting style on display. Win or lose. Personality wins over most people and why the WWE doesn't even show a win/loss record for their "wrestlers". Ok, ok, I know there is technically no winner or loser in each fight as it's a script, but why character development and personality is mostly what WWE focuses on. And I don't even watch that stuff, and haven't since I was about 12. Big Congrats to Mike Perry!!!!!!

Mike really was a Tweener, to small for welterweight and not willing to cut down to lightweight. I also think never having a real training coach early on really hurt him. The Platinum Princes didn't quite have the expertise to take him to the next level.

Yeah, but in order to be that guy for the UFC you have to be like a Clay guida that dude keeps his mouth shut. Doesn't ask for anything. He's just an employee of the UFC and that's pretty much all it is. YouFC guys are only employees all the other fighters and all these other promotions are stars

“How do you like them apples” was originally a reference to WWI era mortar rounds. Then, it was in cover girl commercials in the late 80s and early 90s. Then, it was in Good Will Hunting in 1997. Then today, Chael finally introduced it to the world and made it famous. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I've been watching ufc since my dad showed me royce gracie ufc1 tape back in 08. Mike Perry has turned into one of those fighters who i care about a lot. I remember one night when I was drunk and scrolling through Instagram i somehow ended up watching one of mike perry's stories. Sure enough he's drunk too but he was going on a rant about how he didn't know what he was going to do after leaving the ufc and how he still trusts god that he'll be able to provide for his family. Very nice to see him finding his home in the combat sports world with how crazy things are right now, new promotions and crossovers left and right.

Mike Perry has carved his persona into Bare Knuckle HIMSELF! The man wasn't waiting for the Man upstairs to make a decision. He took that weight on his own shoulders. Don't bring "God" into this... Some people don’t mind the pain they just wanna inflict more and prove they are tougher and meaner than there opponent. people use to laugh at me when I said I liked to get hit, it gets the juices flowing. Till they seen it on multiple occasions and also seen the outcome. I never had to fight much after the word got around. But imo this is Mike Perry.

Mike Perry is awesome, he’s not the smartest guy but he’s so nice and likable. He talks trash to sell fights but he is still respectful and you can tell he has a big heart when you hear him talk. He’s one of the few genuine people at that level. He physically is just build for bare knuckle. He is tough physically and mentally and he has the right skills to do the job. He’s not an elite striker but he hits harder than the inter guy and he more importantly he can take a shot like nobody else. People can take a shot with gloves on but nobody takes a punch like Perry. He doesn’t get cut like other guys. He doesn’t get broken bones. He’s just a hard ass mother!

"How you like them apples?" Comes from the first world war. A reference to anti tank grenades.

Fist conditioning is not just about the confidence to throw shots with greater bone density. Pain and resistance feedback during the process helps in refining accuracy, thereby increasing penetrative power. Mike's ability to focus force on a small area increases the penetrative power of his punches which explains how 1 punch broke alvarez's face. In gloved boxing, punches are about delivering fast, broad, percussive force. Mike's strikes are snappier and more focused on penetrating precision. its a long process

Mike Perry is the 1 fighter the BKFC needed to catapult the sport over the top. He was the solution to a very big problem the BKFC needed and has helped all of those involved to prosperity. Mike’s got many fights left, hopefully, they’ll understand that he’s the type fighter they’re gonna need in every weight class! Same with Jeremy Steven’s and Joe Riggs. I’d like to see some of the UFC guys who just didn’t have what Dana was looking for to get into BKF and do well! Congrats Mike Perry, you’ve done well my friend

Mike Perry is an enigma. I can't make sense of it either. Alvarez was clearly winning the fight, and Platinum broke his freaking orbital bone causing a corner stoppage. That's CRAZY. And his personality... The guy is just an amazing champion. Massive love and respect to the Platinum King of Violence. Long live the King! I'm really happy Chael Sonnen did this video.

In bareknuckle thd ultimate equalizer is cuts. Can predict it, can stop it and I've scene as many fights ended by doctor stoppage as KO. I'm not saying he wouldn't have won just acknowledging how alot of fights end. Nothing you can do about it.

Mike Perry is my favourite fighter outside MMA💯. The outcomes of Perry's encounters with Alvarez and Rockhold were entirely expected. 💯💯 Indeed, Perry is a luminary in the sport.💯🔥 Should a match between Masvidal and Perry materialize, Perry will undoubtedly replicate his previous successes, as it will be a endeavor for him. 💯💯
