I'm originally from south Georgia accent and all and when I was in the fourth grade we moved to Sacramento CA where at this school like 75% of the kids were asian and they'd screw with me because I was different but the thing was I was a pretty big kid so I'd just shove them around but they made me go to a different school the next year and that school was primarily black and that's where I had to actually learn how to fight because shoving everyone didn't work anymore some of those kids were just as big as I was I got my ass kicked a bunch of times before I really got a hang of it but I think that's the best way to learn ... trail by fire sink or swim ... it's better to learn young and take a few innocent little ass whoopins as a kid than it is to get really messed up as a grown man

Man I was just before the age of cell phones being mainstream. Growing up if someone's parents had a cell phone it was a big deal haha. Didn't get my first phone till I was 17, I never needed or wanted one. We all lived on the same block and rode bikes to grab each other before heading off into the woods to do stupid shit as kids up until about the time we started being able to drive. Those were the days man, so glad I grew up without all the technology..my parents didn't have a TV in the house because they didn't want me filling my head with garbage, only ever watched TV or played video games at friends houses during the winter. I look at my sisters kids now who are basically raised by TV and tablets at the ages of 3 and 5 and it just breaks my heart. I have a 18 month old and he's not growing up like that, camping, hunting, running around in the woods with friends...that's my goal for him luckily I live in a area where that's the norm for kids, can't imagine raising my son in a big city...
