stop putting your energy into a team that will never give you a fraction of that love back.

I gave up feeling Angry about the Browns long time ago....The problem occurs when you actually have expectations...only for them to be dashed into the ground of your soul EVERY time. So just let go....of expecting the Browns organization to bring you any football joy and you will have low blood pressure and can live in peace on Sundays

I finally realized that as well i’ll always watch but the excitement is just not there anymore everytime i start to get pumped up they fail miserably its just the same old story year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year, yea you get my drift lol

I agree with you and that's a great mindset. I grew up watching them and saw gut wrenching loses in the 1980, 1985, 1986 & 1987 playoffs as well as the team moving away and winning the SB a few years later. What worked for me is to no longer get emotionally tied to the Browns. "The Browns are the Browns" (JuJu Smith Schuster). Also having a backup team to root for is definitely a must. This year (and last) I've been rooting for the Lions as my backup team. If you're going to be a Browns fan, you definitely need a GOOD backup team. Good = they win. Don't have your backup team as another perennial loser like the Jets etc.

Such a great point. I'm completely apathetic towards this franchise at the moment. I knew something was off when the Amari Cooper big touchdown was called back on a ticky tack penalty and I didn't glow a gasket. I just smirked and let out a breathy laugh while muttering "Of course." It's not that the losses aren't affecting me, but I dont think wins would've moved the needle much either.

I'm sad to say that I've become indifferent about the Browns. When I moved here in 1980, I quickly became a rabid fan - learning all the players' names and positions. Over the last few years, I've grown weary of the "team that WILL make the play-offs and be a legitimate Super Bowl contender" (ON PAPER). Well, the game ain't played "on paper." I've found peace by not being so invested in the Browns (and Guardians and Cavs, too). Although I check all three teams' scores almost daily in the hopes that maybe this will be THE YEAR (well, at least we had the 2016 Cavs), I've pretty much given up hope on CLE sports. One phrase that I'm so tired of is, "Well, there's always next year." I don't think that phrase has ever been uttered in the Boston area for any of their pro sports teams. They know how to build winning cultures.

Luckily I do not care about the Browns anymore. That feeling hit about mid third quarter. I just do not care anymore. Stefanski cannot call plays that work, at all. The offensive line is offensive. Defense did what they could but not enough. Go Guards!
@mikejelinek14132 ай бұрын
The fans have not bought it into this team. Who is there to like on the team? They had a real QB that we all could get behind but we couldn't resign him they were worried about Watsons fragile ego! Meanwhile Flacco beat the Steelers yesterday. Myles Garrett is the pulse of this team but he plays defense and defense rarely scores. We have missed Nick Chubb so badly all you have to do is watch the Browns play live and look at all the "24" jerseys in the stands, Nick is quiet as well as is our head coach who has never called out a player for a horrible performance.. Watson is not a likable guy maybe that's why he had to force himself on all the chicks. He looks like a moody you know what, if I had 230 million I would fake being happy even if I wasn't..lol Maybe Watson will demand a trade, oh we couldn't be so lucky.

It's funny how browns media try to say the Raiders are a bad team before talking about how the browns are, as a raiders fan that is nothing further than the truth, we still finding our way like most teams in the first quarter of the season but we're not a bad team that just irks me the disrespect we get

They should NEVER have come back as a pro team to Cleveland, OH. Cleveland does not deserve an NFL team. Columbus does. Cleveland does not. The performance since 1999 bears all this out.
