Mr Reid's delivery was always top notch, highly hilarious, he was gifted and ultimately put smiles on faces. so lucky to have seen him some years ago at the circus tavern. R.I.P sadly missed Sir Mike.

All the people who say this - incessantly - are the people who were doing the laughing at others. They weren't the target and, miraculously, they were fine with it. I had a long drive for an interview in London and at my first stop I bought a tape {yes I'm that old } of his adult act and I played it all the way there and all the way back, he was brilliant

Very non PC. Good old fashioned humour, from a cockney diamond geezer ! He would never get away with this today. Forget Michael McIntyre and today's sanitised comedy. Today's generation of comedians are not even good enough wipe the spittle of Mike Reid's microphone!

Most are old war jokes from soldiers not manning or Reid. At least Reid says 'these are all old gags' during the set. Manning takes credit for them when he didn't write them either. I love it. He's selected some bangers

Its not about who made the joke or where it came from its about how the joke is delivered. Anyone can tell a joke but its only funny if its delivered and timed right. Chubby, Mike and Bernard where all funny in their own right as they all had different ways of telling stories and jokes
