Which why would they he was not handed the job by Bill Belichick he was handed the job by Robert Kraft. @@413HORRORANDMORE Most of these guys know Mayo from his last few years on the staff as inside LB coach; hard to transition from the "I'm your buddy" position coach to the "I'm the CEO" Head Coach, especially when you start off by piping in Rap Music during OTAs and letting holdouts lounge around on the field during practices.

If we had either Drake last year, or Bill this year, then we would be fighting for a playoff spot. The krafts botched this BIG TIME.

@@Eggy79 yes we would. We lost several games by less than one score last year. If we had a half decent QB at the time we would have been fighting for a wild card spot. This year if we just had a decent defense and started Maye early, we would be 3-3 and fighting for the division (which is wide open). Too bad that without Bill the defense is significantly worse.

What im hearing in this interview is so disheartening and gives no hope for the immediate future of this football team. What I hear from Beetle and Reiss (5:31- 6:30) is the Patriots must protect their not very smart unqualified DEI head coach at all costs. So we are going to have to lose miserably for years possibly before RK can admit his obvious mistake. Is this really how the Patriots are going to run their operation, if so dont expect playoff wins anytime soon.

Coach Mayo is doing a fine job. You can have the best coach in the world you’re still not winning games with this team. It’s a rebuild. I guess people forgot about that. They did the same thing in Detroit when knuckleheads were calling for Dan campbell to get fired his first two seasons. They were proven wrong big time. If you change the coach, guess what you’re still going to have the same outcome. It takes time to rebuild. Relax guys, Jesus.

Players bought into Campbell in Detroit and played hard for him as they were building a new culture. They are regressing in New England, versus the opposite in Detroit. The Lions never had a winning culture in modern times, the complete opposite of New England. Not a good comparison.

The problem I have with Mayo is that he was hand picked by Kraft because Bill spent years moulding him. Kraft thought he would of picked up all of Bills tricks and tips, learnt how to deal with the players and media and how to run a superbowl winning team. BUT mayo has decided to go the other way and do it on his terms the total opposite of Bill. Kraft is to blame partially but he thought he was Bills understudy and really he isn't. Mayo has to go!
