Bull💩. Belichick would have traded the pick and many were wanting that pick traded. Tom Curran was screaming for them to trade the pick. It was NEVER a no brainer. Also they traded Judon for a 3rd round pick. He has 2 sacks. That was an amazing trade. It's clear that Mayo is in way over his head. It's not his fault he just isn't ready for being a HC in the NFL. A bigger problem is that Elliott Wolf has no clue on selecting the players at draft time or thru FA. He has to go! Like was stated in another comment you had Ladd McKonkey sitting there at 34 and you traded back... then took Polk at 37 and Baker in the 4th round. Absolutely horrendous decision and one that is a fireable offense. Maye to McKonkey could have been an immediate and dynamic duo. Instead there are no reliable WR on this team. Wolf above all needs to go.

If we do not hold the Kraft's and management to account, it will be another lost season with excuses and rationalizing the irrational. And wasting D Maye on a rookie contract. Example Washington and Denver were worse or equal to you last season. Picking the correct Management and coaching staff, along with drafting and evaluating the talent is vital. In one season it is possible to evaluate draft picks. Enough of the Patriots media narrative to protect and shelter those in power of the franchise... Just my objective observation.

We have seen 3/4 of this season and Pats except Maye are WORSE - this is a Mayo issue. Next year, they will win more game due to Maye and the draft + whatever they sign. Why wait for Mayo to learn when he hasn't learned in 15 years w/the Pats as a player and coach? Easiest schedule in the league and the same top 10 defense from last year is abysmal with a defensive head coach. Last year they played a bunch of top 7 offenses. Miami with Tua twice, Dallas, Philly, Bills twice. This year they played Bengals week one with Burrow coming back from injury and no Higgins.
