She's inspired me to get back into the craft of writing. I'm pleased to say that I too did the legwork of diligently studying the art of writing, grammar, and proper punctuation. I'm currently an editor for an online media company, but my heart always belongs to story writing. Nobody wants to read lectures. We want to hear real-life, true stories of triumph over evil. I wrote a book in honor of my parents about 20 years ago called "That's How We Were Raised." It's about how my parents raised seven God-fearing ( and loving) children, all without the help of Ritalin. We all went to dad's bootcamp... he'd boot us in the butt when we strayed. They showed us unconditional love while also teaching us CONSEQUENCES. All actions have consequences; some are good - some are bad. I thank God every day for my upbringing, and I can always tell when people were raised properly like Mike Rowe. God bless your mama for doing a phenomenal job with your family.
