I love how much Mike has always involved the crew of his shows. The cameramen, the sound guys, the director, they're all characters along with Mike. They may not have dirty jobs, but as is so typical of Mike, he likes to celebrate anyone doing a job of work.

I’ve never heard of this! As an arts major I absolutely LOVE THIS!!!!!!!! We had a project in college where we had to become part of an artwork (i painted my face and upper body to blend into starry night), it was absolutely my favorite thing we did for fun Senior year, so knowing people are doing that for a festival makes me super happy!!!!!

There is just no way to describe the Pageant of the Masters. The eye gives you a different perspective than the camera. You are in awe when the lights first go on. Great job, Mike. We'll miss the voice of Thurl Ravenscroft, a.k.a. Tony the Tiger, who used to narrate it before.

Exactly. To think, where would we be without our Blessed Hope, our Savior Jesus Christ. He was born without sin but took our sins upon himself. He Shed his Blood and literally died for us. He paid a debt we could never pay ourselves. Our sins separate us from God and Jesus bridged the gap. Without Jesus, we wouldn't have a chance! We would all end up in Hell. God Loves us so much that he gave his only begotten son, that Whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Our Blessed Hope, our Savior Jesus Christ. Do you know him? Do "you", ("whoever" is reading this), know Jesus? Even more, are you "Saved"? If Jesus were to return today, "now", would you be ready? Are you ready? That is the one question that you, and everyone, better know the answer to, because that is the most important decision you will ever make. Jesus is the "ONLY WAY TO SALVATION". There is no other way, "none". This "life" that you are living now, is a "limited" existence. The life after this is "ETERNAL", which brings us to another question: "Where do you want to spend eternity?" Well, you have only "two" choices: either "HEAVEN" or "HELL"! Not everyone will go to Heaven and likewise not everyone will go to Hell. It's your choice! It's always been your choice. Have you ever wondered why we all don't go to Heaven? Well, it's because of just one thing. But that "one" thing "separates" us all from God, and that one thing, is "SIN"! We are all born into sin, everyone is, and the Bible says that the wages (penalty) of sin is "Death". You see, because of our sins, when we all die, we are all "eternally separated" from God. But you know what? God Loves you so much that he made a way for you, for all of us. The Bible also teaches us that even though the penalty (wages) for our sins is death, we can gain SALVATION (a GIFT FROM GOD) through his only begotten son, Jesus Christ. God made a way! He sacrificed his only son, for "you"! That's how much he Loves you. ROMANS 6:23 kjv For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Here's the GOOD NEWS, (THE GOSPEL) Jesus took your sins and paid your sin debt in full. He took all your sins, past, present and future, to the Cross, shed his Blood and literally DIED for your sins, was buried and then God raised him from the dead three days later. Anyone who believes in the finished work of Jesus Christ will be Saved. That's THE GOSPEL (which means GOOD NEWS). 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-4 kjv 15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. He paid the price so you don't have to. Jesus is the ONLY ONE who could. He is the ONLY WAY. JOHN 14:6 kjv 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. God gives you, all of us, this "GIFT", because he Loves you. How much does God Love you? Well, let me ask you this: "Could you sacrifice your only child?" That is exactly what our Heavenly Father did. He gave (sacrificed) his only begotten son, Jesus, for "you", for the "WHOLE WORLD"! JOHN 3:16-18 kjv 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Please, don't let Gods "sacrifice" (for you) be in vain. Jesus "died" for you. Please "Live" (eternally) for him.

Great seeing this. Butch is an old friend. He has been at the Pageant for years. He got his start building the sets and then became stage manager and now he is the Technical director I believe. Many years ago I worked as a stage crew. Three hours a night for two months. We had a lot of fun with the other crew and volunteers. The Pageant is something to see. Every year there is a different theme. For years the announcer was actor Thurl Ravenscroft best known for being the voice of Tony the Tiger.

1:36 Mike Rowe is just pure gold. I watched a lot of his shows in high school when he first started becoming famous. I've got pancreatic cancer, but I'm too old for "Make-A-Wish". If I did have one, it'd be to meet Mike Rowe. Honestly, I saw an aunt and two of my uncles fight and lose to pancreatic cancer. I'm just not going to fight. Maybe just living my life will cause a miracle, maybe not. Either way, I don't want to be miserable for the next 18 months.

@@bepreparedforwhatscoming4975 I've received all types of advice from everyone. Ironically, your advice *_is_* how I've been living my life since I stopped living at home in my early 20's; the fasting aspect. my entire life, I've *_never_* been a fan of candy or sugary products, never even drank soda. And when I did live at home, had to hear it every day for not eating any fruits. When I moved out, I developed a bad habit of skipping breakfast and lunch, then usually eating around 7:30pm. I still live like this. Except sometimes ( like tonight ), I even skip eating at 7:30 because I'm just not hungry and the abdominal pain is too much. Since I've eaten almost no sugar most of my life, you said spot on my nutrition lifestyle aside from that. I appreciate you trying to help. But having lived your advice most of my life, for all I know, that's the problem. But I doubt it since cancer just runs in the family.

For many years what was called "The Atlanta Passion Play" was perfumed at Easter time (I was a chores WALK ON in the 1987 production) At the Atlanta civic Center, a huge venue for a play. One of the scenes was the last supper where the curtain opened to a view through a screen making the view look EXACTLY like the painting, to great applause. Then the screen was quickly removed to show the actors positioned just like here, to an audible intake of the breath of the audience. Then all of a sudden every actor moved, again an audible breath intake One year a group of Broadway play critics saw the play and came away saying; "it could not get any better, considering that everyone was an ammeter". Ill never forget the first time I saw this scene (1986 production) This video brings back that memory. Thanks Mike. ;-)

I wonder how an audience would react if just for a few minutes if the voice of the narrator was Mike Rowe's? His voice is known all over the world and it would be interesting to see if anyone in the audience reacts to it. This makes you appreciate how much work is done behind the scenes to put on any type of production. Amazing.

Oh my God! The Last Supper scene was beautiful amazing! It looked realistic! You could not tell that real actors were playing the roles of persons portrayed in the painting. The painting does come to life! Also, this was the first time I had heard of The Festival of Arts. I think the idea of animating a painting with real persons is just ingenious. I like it how Mike made jokes throughout the event, especially the part when he speaks of taking a selfie in the middle of the show. Very funny and it would have been lots of fun doing that. Mike actually did a great job playing the role of Bartholomew. Did Bartholomew looked like Mike in real life? Anyone knows? You learn a lot of historical facts in watching this video. It is also incredible that some of the employees have been doing the same job for decades. In the end I am left wanting to watch this video again or wish that it lasted longer, say an hour. I also would like to visit The Festival of Arts and experience the event in person live. Great video, really enjoyed it every minute. Thanks

Me. Rowe, when I was in elementary school in Las Cruces, New Mexico, the public school system held what they called ‘living pictures’ using students. While the adults set up the ‘pictures’ the kids in the audience sang songs. When I was in the fourth grade a boy from my class was selected to be in one the preentations. He said his skin was itchy because he had to be covered in very finely whipped soap. I remember all of the ‘pictures’ being beautiful.
