I have a simple ring made from a silver dime. My neighbor made it for me over 50 years ago. I watched him drill out the dime's center and pound it out on an anvil under a shade tree in his yard. It means a great deal that it was hand made just for me. Love ya, Mike. Keep up the good work!

The fact that you encounter 2 individuals in craftsmanship, that watched you growing up, to me, says you influenced their path more than you or even they expected it to. You met 2 people who watched you growing up and the admiration in their voices says it all. The look on your face with each one saying that, must have put you on Cloud 9. It sure made me smile. I watch one of these episodes every lunch at work. I work at a Walmart. You are my all-time favourite to watch during my lunch. Used to watch Dirty Jobs back in the day too!

I started taking woodworking classes in 1972 at 12 years old. I learned early on that quality isn't expensive, it's priceless! Every job that I've done in the past 50+ years, I have unconditionally guaranteed forever. I'm proud to say that I have never had a dissatisfied customer or a recall on anything that I have ever built. I'm happily retired now and enjoying life as I'm converting a Transit van into my traveling home.

@Mike Rowe, if you have ever doubted your value to the world, just listen to the people when they say how much of an impact you have made on their lives. These people aren't your fans; they are your children. WE are your sons, and daughters, who only later in life realized just how right you were all along, and all of those lessons you taught us, which you so masterfully hid away inside fart jokes and innuendos have made us into the strong, competent, hardworking, and willing to get dirty to get the job done, men and women we are today.
