Would you use Porcelain types on kitchen countertops and island and if so which one - Dekton or other Porcelain types?

Her details on the composition of Dekton is ok, her tale of fabricating Dekton is lacking. You do NOT need a water jet to fabricate Dekton or porcelain. The correct blade and procedures cutting Dekton or porcelain leave a WAYYYY smoother edge than a waterjet. And TAKE THAT EARRING OUT you look ridiculous with it

I have watched your show and it is so wonderful to see a quality builder who cares about giving back! I just had a porcelain slab countertop put in my master bath. They put up the light fixtures last, and after putting in some bulbs noticed not only a chip in the sink cutout, but scratches on the top itself!!! Watching these youtubes , and the reason I CHOSE this surface, was because of its beauty and hardness/easy cleaning!!! Contractor is trying to tell me it DOES scratch, and I am hesitant to allow him to "buff out" scratches since the design does not go through all stone. What should I do????

I have worked with Neolith and dekton, I would never use this product it snaps and breaks really easy and chips really easy and once you chop it it’s none repairable.

Yes, porcelain is non repairable when there is chip or crack. But in terms of machinability, Lingbiao Technology is excellent in performance. kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5OtqXWejL6YodE

Yup, if you cant a side or edge, you will chip it if you clank it with something, and it DOESNT have to be hard AT ALL.

What is the price compared to the alternatives?

The material is about 40per sqft, while install is just too much around 70$

Really interesting, thank you for posting. Porcelain slabs do not get hot in the sun, does Dexton/porcelain work surfaces get hot in direct sun like granite work surfaces do or do they react the same as slabs and stay cool?

right, she said inorganic material. The material is so high fired, that its very much like a carbon pencil, but under pressure..Like graphene of sorts. But, its brittle!! So back to tried and true granite...none I used has ever stained, lemon, red wine...wipes off.
